LSS OF THE DAY: "WHAT YOU OWN"

From: RENT [Movie/Musical]

I knew it wasn't gonna last long. Oh well..

So, I did leave for Manila yesterday early morning, around 2:30. I got to the dorm around 8 because I still had to change into my uniform; seriously, we still needed to wear uniforms just to get our clearance? Stupid, really. But anyway, I waited for my friends, and when everyone was there, Meg held out these bags for me and Judith; turns out they were our early birthday presents (Judith's birthday is today; mine is on the 12th). And the others gave me letters; Simon drew an angel for me.

Then we went inside our building, got our clearances and went to the Health Service because Meg had to do something there. Jay followed us there and we had fun talking to Ma'am Shake.

Stayed in the school for awhile so I read the letters they gave me. I was touched by Simon's letter and I was laughing at Meg's letter but when it came to Albert's, my heart sank.

He wrote that he likes me, and that it's actually getting close to love. I was suspecting for a while that he might actually like me but I didn't think it was like that. I kept the letter and tried to act as normally as possible. I talked to Meg and apparently, everyone in the group knew about it EXCEPT me.

"I care for you very much, and like you the same. What I feel is more than friendship, close to a romantic relationship. I am not prepared to say "I love you", though as time passes and things change, I hope to whisper it sincerely and passionately and shout it triumphantly."

That was just part of what he said, but I think he summed it all up in just these sentences.

While I was reading it, I couldn't stop thinking, "This is not happening. This CAN'T be happening." I already had a hunch that he liked me but I just ignored it, praying that it would just fade. But it didn't.

I've already thought about this ever since I first suspected that he liked me, and whatever I think or say, it always comes down to one conclusion: he's like a brother to me, and just the mere thought of me and him getting together makes me cringe because it really doesn't feel right.

I just sent him a message through Multiply. I hope he takes it as a man. I know that it'll create tensions between us, but I believe that it'll pass.

While Simon accompanied me in waiting for an FX in Espanya, Danzel walked by. He looked a bit surprised to see me with Simon (I actually saw him give something close to a "death glare" as he looked at Mon), and sure enough, he thought that he was courting me. I was talking to him awhile ago when he asked if I had a "new guy"; paranoid, much?

I left Manila around 3:40 and I arrived in Dagupan by 9pm. Whew!

So anyway, I think all the contestants on American Idol are pretty stressed out. Some of them weren't as giddy as they used to be or they seemed to space out a bit. David Cook looked exhausted after he performed and he was always smiling after he sang. I guess it's because of Idol Gives Back which will air tomorrow. Jason Castro did really well; and, alright, Christy Lee Cook did well too. I'm scared for Carly. I hope Syesha gets the boot on Friday.

*NOTE: This post has been edited. The picture that was posted here before this is at the bottom

So, yeah, the picture pretty much says it all. Our barkada outing FINALLY pushed through. Our schedule:

MARCH 23: I went to Manila.

MARCH 24: Went back to Dagupan with my friends: Meg, Sarah, Janel, Gian, Mau, Albert and Simon

MARCH 25: Went to Baguio; SM, Camp John Hay, Mine's View Park, Botanical Garden and Burnham Park.

MARCH 26: Went down from Baguio, went to San Fabian, Bonuan, then to Matutina's for dinner.

MARCH 27: They went back to Manila.

We had so much fun! Most of them were so used to Manila that they were a bit surprised at how the province looked.

Our Baguio trip was the best; we enjoyed the cool air and the smell of pine trees and the inummerable flowers. And of course, the cabin we rented was absolutely beautiful; there were even these windows that you can open and sit of the edge so you can see the view better. We cooked our own dinner and we really did a great job at it. The menu: breaded chicken breast, mashed potato with gravy and mushroom soup.

My heart syopped (literally) when Albert got hurt; we had to get down these really steep steps going to the cabin since it was sort of going downhill. When we got back from Burnham Park, I have no idea what got into Albert's head at the time so he decided to just walk down on the grass instead of taking the stairs. He easily outstripped us and he was doing fine, until he stumbled and ROLLED on the gravel. He lay there, sprawled near the bushes and he didn't move for two seconds. We immediately ran down as he was getting up. He had a really big nasty scratch on his left arm. We wrapped it with tissue and scotch tape (Simon, you are a life-saver!). I hope he learned his lesson after that

We had a mini-drinking session around past midnight; I only had a shot of Lambanog and a shot of Gran Matador. My head really hurt after since according to them, the Lambanog's alcohol content was pretty high and I'm not used to drinking and I'm allergic to alcohol. Mau, Albert and Simon kept on asking if we were feeling okay and they kept on pestering us to drink lots of Iced Tea and Coke so we could get the alcohol out of our system when we urinate. Mau finally allowed us to go to bed around 3-ish; my headache's subsided around that time.

I didn't have a hang-over the next morning, thank goodness! But my hands started to itch a little bit because of my allergies. Meg made a really good breakfast: corned beef omelette, tomato omelette, cheese omelette, and tuna. We left Baguio around past noon and we went straight to San Fabian where my uncle lived. We were supposed to go swimming at the beach but the others got discouraged when they found a few dead jellyfish lying on the sand. But Simon didn't care; he went in the water anyway. The rest either used the hammocks, walked on the sand looking for more dead jellyfish or shells, made sandcastles, soaked their feet on the shore, or threw sand at each other.

Dad picked us up from there and he dropped us off in Bonuan, where they met Mom and Doc. I showed Simon this face on the wall and he told me a few things that made my skin crawl; I'd rather not say it here. Then we ate in Matutina's for dinner. I couldn't help but laugh at how much food Mau ate that night; I mean, for a skinny guy, where the hell does he store all that food?! We could have stayed longer but Janel wasn't feeling very well so we left as soon as we finished eating. Me, Meg, Sarah and Gian rode with Mom and Mau, Simon, Albert and Janel rode with Doc; Janel texted us on the way and said that they were listening to Spice Girls. We couldn't stop laughing!

By the time we got back home we were pretty tired; but oddly enough, we didn't go to sleep right away. We ended up exchanging stories and laughing our butts off until midnight before we watched a movie until three in the morning.

We were supposed to wake up early (March 27) but since we were still tired, we overslept by two hours. And they were kind of delaying their departure time because I could see that they were still pretty comfortable where they were. But sadly, they couldn't wait any longer so they left around two in the afternoon.

Despite the few rifts we experienced (literally and figuratively), we were still able to forget about them and just enjoy the time that we had together. If anything, this outing made our bond as a barkada stronger and this gave us the chance to get to know each other better. They're the best friends anyone could ever have and I am truly blessed to have them.

I MISS THEM ALREADY! When I look at my now empty room, I can't help but imagine at how they used to make a big mess out of it. I could still remember who slept where and who laid down beside who. I remember when all of us were in that same room, watching a moive, playing cards and just having a laugh. I live for little moments like that, and I wouldn't trade them for anything.

Meg, Sarah, Janel, Gian, Mau, Albert and Simon, I hope you all had as much fun as I did. Let's do this again, okay?

----------------------------------------------------

FRIENDS. LIFE'S GREATEST TREASURES.

Again, thanks guys, for a great time. Thanks for all the stories, the laughter, the conversations, the help, the company, heck, even the most embarassing and scariest moments!; in short, thanks for the memories I hope you guys can come back soon! Love you all!

----------------------------------------------------

So, anyway, remember the letter I wrote here? Well, we talked on Sunday, the day before I went back to Dagupan; I was in the dormn that time. We finally talked things through, but somehow, I'm not satisfied. He made it clear that maybe now's not the right time for us to be together because he said that he's really going to be busy and that he would be unfair to me if he wasn't always there. I kept on telling him that he needed to practice time management, but he said it wasn't that easy. I grudgingly agreed to what he said; I mean, I really couldn't say anything more about it. But he reminded me that he was always going to be there for me, no matter what. I guess that's the best I can hope for.

And two good things came out of our conversation: I got him to admit that he got jealous because of Albert; he actually thought that Albert was courting me because we hang out a lot so I expalined to him that we were just good friends. And that he doesn't just like me; his feelings for me are much deeper than that. Okay, I'll admit that I got all giddy and googley-eyed when he said the second one; I couldn't help it, really

We haven't talked since then. I don't know if he's avoiding me or he just won't text me because he thinks that we're okay. I mean, one of the reasons why he kept on texting me before was because he wanted to check on how I was doing. Now that everything's slightly okay between us, maybe he thinks that he doesn't have a reason to talk to me anymore. But that's just what I think.

*sigh* Love...

LSS OF THE DAY: "WITHOUT YOU"

From: RENT [Movie/Musical]

Dear lord, I'm exhausted.

Last Saturday, I didn't go home. So yeah, I was stuck in my cave (dorm).

And last Sunday, I had to attend this thing for LTS; okay, it was a Mass and sort of like a closing program but I found it to be dull. And what was worse was that the NSTP coordinator told us off for being noisy, TWICE! That was so humiliating. And to think, we're in college and yet we still act like a bunch of pre-schoolers. Oh well. We stayed in school until 8pm. As always, we played frisbee even though it was pretty dark. Lots of one-on-one moments that I'll never forget.

Sarah and Mau broke up; but I think they're together again. Or is it just my imagination?

My ninang from the States called me yesterday just to check on how I was doing. I was really touched when she told me that she misses me. She's one of those old people who knows how to relate to today's generation, since she has two kids who are just a few years older than me. She told me stories about her younger days, when she and my tito weren't married yet. Their courtship, how they were able to handle their break-up and still remained close, and how he proposed. Needless to say, it was nakakakilig; and coming from her, that's saying a lot! I told her about my current "situation" with--well, you know who; she told me some stuff and I'd rather not say them here. Ssssshhh! I can't wait for her to call again.

And I am very pleased to say that as of yesterday, I have a son! Not biological, of course. Remember our family tree? Iris is my "mom", Meg and Janel are my "daughters", Sarah's our "dog", Gian's my "sister", Albert's my "brother-in-law", Simon's my "stepfather"; we don't have positions for Judith, Claudette and Jigo yet, and now Jay (Albert's friend, who's been hanging out with us) is now my "son". Me, Meg, Albert and Jay stayed in school until seven last night in Lovers Lane. Just talking. Meg even took a video of Jay and his inability to do the steps that Jigo did last week; now I have something to laugh at when I'm depressed. No offense, Jay; love yah, m'boy!

And tomorrow's gonna be a busy day for us.

MARCH 12, 2008 (Wednesday)

8:00 - 9:00 -> Meet up at the Pav for Stat
9:00 - 12:00 -> Debate drill
12:00 - 3:00 -> CLASSES
3:00 - 4:00 -> Exam in Theology (should have been today but she didn't show up)

*and some time between 4:00-7:00 we have to take a quiz in Bio through E-Leap AND attend the election of officers for BESSCIFED.

Is that busy, or is that busy?

Which reminds me, I have to write down all that stuff that Meg told me for the debate. I volunteered to replace Judith since she really wasn't into it. At least I made someone's day.

I'm beginning to notice something. But I wouldn't want to sound hasty or anything, so I'll just sit back and watch how everything will turn out.

I saw him awhile ago in front of our building, while I was talking to Albert. I hate it when I get shivers down my spine everytime I see him. I am so weak. Pathetic, really.

"If he doesn't make a move, forget about him" - my friends.

But the thing is, I'm already trying. Why isn't it working?

LSS OF THE DAY: "GOODBYE LOVE" FROM THE MOVIE, "RENT"

...what?

I met up with Tita Meg on Monday and I had a great time talking to her. She told me so many stories of when she was young and when my grandmother was still alive; I wish I could tell them all but unfortunately I'm feeling a little down. Maybe next time

Enrolment was HELL. We waited in line for more than three hours and in the rain too! My feet were killing me and we had to have our registration forms xeroxed for NSTP; we finished around near 6 in the evening. And I had to wait in traffic while going to the bus station; and I got wet. Darn rain

I got this "Spell Your Name" thing from Simon; try it!. I spelled my name in bold.

A - likes to drink (well, kinda)

B - likes people

C - wild and crazy

D - great perosnality

E - good kisser

F - people adore you

G - decisive

H - good looks and personality

I - loves everyone (i seldom hate anyone; well, rarely)

J - lives life for fun

K - silly

L - loved by everyone (ask around; maybe there are some people who don't love me)

M - makes duties fun

N - drop-dead sexy

O - best in bed

P - popular

Q - hypocrite

R - supercrazy

S - is to fall in love with (really? who knew?)

T - loyal

U - loves to chill (I AGREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!)

V - not judgmental

W - broad minded

X - assertive

Y - best girlfriend/boyfriend

Z - always ready

What does your name spell?

Went to Dominican this afternoon; Kathleen won't stop bugging me into going. I saw my classmates from high school and I had fun talking to them; I can't believe how much they've changed. Not in a bad way though.

I asked Nicole a not-so-personal question; and I was surprised at his answer. Actually, he made my day

I tried to avoid Romeo, and I succeeded

I had fun talking to Cledan and Nicole

I just got the biggest shock of my life; until now I don't think it completely sunk in or something

I am STILL obsessing over Draco and Hermione

I'm still exhausted.

LSS OF THE DAY: "I'LL COVER YOU (REPRISE), FROM THE MOVIE, "RENT"

I was listening to it over and over and over again last night; I couldn't get enough of Jesse L. Martin's voice

First, I was totally crushing on Adam Pascal (well, until now), now Jesse L. Martin? Who's next? Wilson Jermaine Heredia? Uhh..on second thought, scratch that 'coz he's already my crush

I've been reading FanFiction every night and I've been downloading random songs from LimeWire. It's kinda fun, actually. And would you believe that I actually found songs that were sung by ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS; they were my absolute favorite when I was a kid! Their voices are so cute! Call me childish, but at least I'm not afraid to admit it. They did versions of "Eye of the Tiger", "Play that Funky Music", "Beat It", even "Achey Brakey Heart" (complete with side comments by Billy Ray Cyrus himself); Dad got a real laught out of it when I let him hear them. I even downloaded some of Mozart's pieces and a few piano, guitar and violin instrumentals; I have a really soft spot for the classics and I couldn't miss out on an opportunity to download them now that I have absolutely nothing to do at home. By the time second semester comes around, I'll probably have all the de-stress songs out there

I don't approve of the Ron-Hermione pairing that J.K. Rowling did; so I'm reading stories about Draco-Hermione pairings; good girl with bad boy, what else could be more perfect?

A lot of people have been asking me what are my favorite lyrics or lyric-lines from RENT; here they are

*Seasons Of Love
(the very first song in the play)

COMPANY
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred moments so dear
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure - measure a year?

In daylights - In sunsets
In midnights - In cups of coffee
In inches - In miles
In laughter - In strife

In Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure a year in the life?

How about love?
How about love?
How about love?
Measure in love

Seasons of love
Seasons of love

SOLOIST #1
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Journeys to plan
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure the life
Of a woman or a man?

SOLOIST #2
In truths that she learned
Or in times that he cried
In bridges he burned
Or the way that she died

ALL
It's time now - to sing out
Tho' the story never ends
Let's celebrate
Remember a year in the life of friends

Remember the love
Remember the love
Remember the love
Measure in love

SOLOIST #1
Measure, measure your life in love

Seasons of love
Seasons of love

*One Song Glory
(very emotional song; Roger's a rocker who left behind everything because his girlfriend committed suicide after finding out that they both have AIDS; now he wants to write one song before he dies)

ROGER
One song
Glory
One song
Before I go
Glory
One song to leave behind
Find one song
One last refrain
Glory
From the pretty boy front man
Who wasted opportunity
One song
He had the world at his feet
Glory
In the eyes of a young girl
A young girl
Find glory
Beyond the cheap colored lights
One song
Before the sun sets
Glory - on another empty life
Time flies - time dies
Glory - One blaze of glory
One blaze of glory - glory
Find
Glory
In a song that rings true
Truth like a blazing fire
An eternal flame
Find
One song
A song about love
Glory
From the soul of a young man
A young man
Find
The one song
Before the virus takes hold
Glory
Like a sunset
One song
To redeem this empty life
Time flies
And then - no need to endure anymore
Time dies

*Light My Candle
(very funny song; especially on Mimi's part; she's a dancer and a heroin addict who's in love with Roger but Roger is still unsure of getting into another relationship)

ROGER
What'd you forget?

(MIMI enters, holding a candle and looking for a match; her electricity is
down, too)

MIMI
Got a light?

ROGER
I know you? You're
You're shivering

MIMI
It's nothing
They turned off my heat
And I'm just a little
Weak on my feet
Would you light my candle?
What are you staring at?

ROGER
Nothing
Your hair in the moonlight
You look familiar
(He lights her candle. MIMI starts to leave, but stumbles)
Can you make it?

MIMI
Just haven't eaten much today
At least the room stopped spinning
Anyway, What?

ROGER
Nothing
Your smile reminded me of

MIMI
I always remind people of who is she?

ROGER
She died, Her name was April

(MIMI discreetly blows out the candle)

MIMI
It's out again
Sorry about your friend
Would you light my candle?

(ROGER lights the candle. They linger, awkwardly)

ROGER
Well-

MIMI
Yeah. Ow!

ROGER
Oh, the wax it's --

MIMI
Dripping! I like it -- between my --

ROGER
Fingers. I figured...
Oh, well. Goodnight
(MIMI exits. ROGER heads back toward his guitar on the table. There is
another knock, which he answers)
It blew out again?

MIMI
No - I think that I dropped my stash

ROGER
I know I've seen you out and about
When I used to go out
Your candle's out

MIMI
I'm illin'
I had it when I walked in the door
It was pure
Is it on the floor?

ROGER
The floor?

(MIMI gets down on all fours and starts searching the floor for her stash.
She lookss back at ROGER, who is staring at her again)

MIMI
They say I have the best ass below 14th street
Is it true?

ROGER
What?

MIMI
You're staring again

ROGER
Oh no
I mean you do - have a nice-
I mean , You look familiar

MIMI
Like your dead girlfriend?

ROGER
Only when you smile
But I'm sure I've seen you somewhere else

MIMI
Do you go to the Cat Scratch Club?
That's where I work - I dance - help me look

ROGER
Yes!
They used to tie you up-

MIMI
It's a living

(MIMI douses the flame again)

ROGER
I didn't recognize you
Without the handcuffs

MIMI
We could light the candle
Oh won't you light the candle?

(ROGER lights it again.)

ROGER
Why don't you forget that stuff
You look like you're sixteen

MIMI
I'm nineteen but I'm old for my age
I'm just born to be bad

ROGER
I once was born to be bad
I used to shiver like that

MIMI
I have no heat - I told you

ROGER
I used to sweat

MIMI
I got a cold

ROGER
Uh huh
I used to be a junkie

MIMI
But now and then I like to

ROGER
Uh huh

MIMI
Feel good

ROGER
Here it - um

(ROGER stoops and picks up a small object: MIMI's stash)

MIMI
What's that?

ROGER
It's a candy bar wrapper

(ROGER puts it behind his back and into his pocket)

MIMI
We could light the candle

(ROGER discreetly blows out the candle)

MIMI
What'd you do with my candle?

ROGER
That was my last match

MIMI
Our eyes'll adjust, thank God for the moon

ROGER
Maybe it's not the moon at all
I hear Spike Lee's shooting down the street

MIMI
Bah humbug ... Bah humbug

(MIMI places her hand under his, pretending to do it by accident)

ROGER
Cold hands

MIMI
Yours too
Big. Like my father's
You wanna dance?

ROGER
With you?

MIMI
No -- with my father

ROGER
I'm Roger

MIMI
They call me
They call me Mimi

(They come extremely close to a kiss. MIMI reaches into his pocket, nabs
the stash, waves it in front of his face, and makes a sexy exit)

*Tango: Maureen
(very funny song! Mark, Maureen's ex-boyfriend, meets Joanne, Maureen's girlfriend [yes, lesbians; Maureen left Mark for Joanne] for the first time and they talk about Maureen)

(The lot. JOANNE is reexamining the cable connections for the
umpteenth time)

MARK
And so into the abyss...The lot. Where a small stage is partially set up

JOANNE
(playing with some wires)
"Line in"...
I went to Harvard for this?

MARK
Close on Mark's nose dive

JOANNE
"Line out"...

MARK
Will he get out of here alive...?

(JOANNE notices MARK approaching)

JOANNE
Mark?

MARK
Hi

JOANNE
I told her not to call you

MARK
That's Maureen
But can I help since I'm here

JOANNE
I hired an engineer

MARK
Great!
Well, nice to have met you

JOANNE
Wait!
She's three hours late
The samples won't delay
But the cable

MARK
There's another way
Say something - anything

JOANNE (into the mike)
Test - one, two three

MARK
Anything but that

JOANNE
This is weird

MARK
It's weird

JOANNE
Very weird

MARK
Fuckin' weird

JOANNE
I'm so mad
That I don't know what to do
Fighting with microphones
Freezing down to my bones
And to top it all off
I'm with you

MARK
Feel like going insane?
Got a fire in your brain?
And you're thinking of drinking gasoline?

JOANNE
As a matter of fact

MARK
Honey, I know this act
It's called the 'Tango Maureen'
The Tango Maureen
It's a dark, dizzy merry-go-round
As she keeps you dangling

JOANNE
You're wrong

MARK
Your heart she is mangling

JOANNE
It's different with me

MARK
And you toss and you turn
'Cause her cold eyes can burn
Yet you yearn and you churn and rebound

JOANNE
I think I know what you mean

BOTH
The Tango Maureen

MARK
Has she ever pouted her lips
And called you 'Pookie'

JOANNE
Never

MARK
Have you ever doubted a kiss or two?

JOANNE
This is spooky
Did you swoon when she walked through the door?

MARK
Every time - so be cautious

JOANNE
Did she moon over other boys?

MARK
More than moon

JOANNE
I'm getting nauseous
(They begin to dance, with MARK leading)

MARK
Where'd you learn to tango?

JOANNE
With the French Ambassador's daughter in her dorm room at Miss Porter's
And you?

MARK
With Nanette Himmelfarb. The Rabbi's daughter at the Scarsdale Jewish
Community Center

(They switch, and JOANNE leads)

It's hard to do this backwards

JOANNE
You should try it in heels!
She cheated

MARK
She cheated

JOANNE
Maureen cheated

MARK
Fuckin' cheated

JOANNE
I'm defeated
I should give up right now

MARK
Gotta look on the bright side
With all of your might

JOANNE
I'd fall for her still anyhow

BOTH
When you're dancing her dance
You don't stand a chance
Her grip of romance
Make you fall

MARK
So you think, 'Might as well'

JOANNE
"Dance a tango to hell"

BOTH
At least I'll have tangoed at all
The Tango Maureen
Gotta dance till your diva is through
You pretend to believe her
Cause in the end you can't leave her
But the end it will come
Still you have to play dumb
Till you're glum and you bum
And turn blue

MARK
Why do we love when she's mean?

JOANNE
And she can be so obscene

MARK
Try the mike

JOANNE
My Maureen (reverb: een, een, een...)

MARK
Patched

JOANNE
Thanks

MARK
You know I feel great now!

JOANNE
I feel lousy
(The pay phone rings. MARK hands it to JOANNE)
Honey, we're... (pause) Pookie?!
You never call me Pookie...
Forget it, we're patched
(She hangs up, looks at MARK)

BOTH
The Tango Maureen

*From: Will I
(Life Support; a bunch of people who have AIDS; some of the major characters are in this group)

Will I lose my dignity
Will someone care
Will I wake tomorrow
From this nightmare?

*La Vie Boheme B
(this is the longest song in the whole play; there's a first part to this but I decided to put this instead since it has all my favorite lines)

(ROGER and MIMI exit. JOANNE reenters, obviously steamed)

MAUREEN
Are we packed?

JOANNE
Yes and by next week
I want you to be

MAUREEN
Pookie?

JOANNE
And you should see
They've padlocked your building
And they're rioting on Avenue B
Benny called the cops

MAUREEN
That fuck

JOANNE
They don't know what they're doing
The cops are sweeping the lot
But no one's leaving
They're just sitting there, mooing!

ALL
Yeah!!!
(Pandemonium erupts in the restaurant)
To dance

A GIRL
No way to make a living, masochism, pain, perfection
Muscle spasms, chiropractors, short careers, eating disorders

ALL
Film

MARK
Adventure, tedium, no family, boring locations,
Dark rooms, perfect faces, egos, money, Hollywood and sleaze

ALL
Music

ANGEL
Food of love, emotion, mathematics, isolation,
Rhythm, feeling, power, harmony, and heavy competition

ALL
Anarchy

COLLINS & MAUREEN
Revolution, justice, screaming for solutions,
Forcing changes, risk, and danger
Making noise and making pleas

ALL
To faggots, lezzies, dykes, cross dressers too

MAUREEN
To me

MARK
To me

COLLINS & ANGEL
To me

ALL
To you, and you and you, you and you
To people living with, living with, living with
Not dying from disease
Let he among us without sin
Be the first to condemn
La vie Boheme
La vie Boheme
La vie Boheme

MARK
Anyone out of the mainstream
Is anyone in the mainstream?
Anyone alivewith a sex drive

OTHERS
La vie boheme
La vie boheme
La vie boheme

MARK
Tear down the wall
Aren't we all?
The opposite of war isn't peace
It's creation

ALL
La vie Boheme

MARK
The riot continues. The Christmas tree goes up in flames. The snow dances.
Oblivious, Mimi and Roger share a small, lovely kiss

ALL
Viva la vie Boheme!

*Take Me Or Leave Me
(break-up song between Maureen and Joanne; very amusing)

JOANNE
You were flirting with the woman in rubber

MAUREEN
That's what this is about!? There will always be women in rubber, flirting with
me... Gimme a break

Every single day
I walk down the street
I hear people say,
"Baby's so sweet"
Ever since puberty
Everybody stares at me
Boys - girls
I can't can't help it baby
So be kind
Don't lose your mind
Just remember that I'm your baby

Take me for what I am
Who I was meant to be
And if you give a damn
Take me baby or leave me
Take me baby or leave me

A tiger in a cage
Can never see the sun
This diva needs her stage
Baby - let's have fun!
You are the one I choose
Folks'd kill to fill your shoes
You love the limelight too, baby
So be mine
Or don't waste my time
Cryin' -- "Honeybear -- are you still my baby?"

Take me for what I am
Who I was meant to be
And if you give a damn
Take me baby or leave me

No way can I be what I'm not
But hey don't you want your girl hot!
Don't fight don't lose your head
Cause every night who's in your bed?
Who's in your bed, baby?
(Pouts in JOANNE's direction)
Kiss, Pookie

JOANNE
It won't work
I look before I leap
I love margins and discipline
I make lists in my sleep
Baby what's my sin?
Never quit I follow through
I hate mess but I love you
What to do
With my impromptu baby?
So be wise
This girl satisfies
You've got a prize
But don't compromise
You're one lucky baby
Take me for what I am

MAUREEN
A control freak

JOANNE
Who I was meant to be

MAUREEN
A snob yet over-attentive

JOANNE
And if you give a damn

MAUREEN
A lovable, droll geek

JOANNE
Take me baby or leave me

MAUREEN
And anal retentive

BOTH
That's it!

JOANNE
The straw that breaks my back

BOTH
I quit

JOANNE
Unless you take it back

BOTH
Women

MAUREEN
What is it about them?

BOTH
Can't live
With them
Or without them!
Take me for what I am
Who I was meant to be
And if you give a damn
Take me baby or leave me
Take me baby
Or leave me
Guess I'm leavin'
I'm gone

*Halloween
(Mark's solo; he's wondering why everything is happening around him while he just sits there and watch)

MARK
How did we get here?
How the hell
Pan left - close on the steeple of the church
How did I get here?
How the hell...
Christmas
Christmas Eve last year
How could a night so frozen be so scalding hot?
How can a morning this mild be so raw?
Why are entire years strewn
On the cutting room floor of memory
When single frames from one magic night
Forever flicker in close-up
On the 3D Imax of my mind
That's poetic
That's pathetic
Why did Mimi knock on Roger's door
And Collins choose that phone booth
Back where Angel set up his drums
Why did Maureen's equipment break down
Why am I the witness
And when I capture it on film
Will it mean that it's the end
And I'm alone

*Goodbye Love
(the major characters sing this after one of them dies; very sad song; best friends fighting, one of them leaving, hearts get broken)

MIMI (to ROGER)
It's true you sold your guitar and bought a car?

ROGER
It's true- I'm leaving now for Santa Fe
It's true you're with this yuppie scum?

BENNY
You said you'd never speak to him again

MIMI
Not now

MAUREEN
Who said that you have any say
In who she says things to at all?

ROGER
Yeah

JOANNE
Who said that you should
Stick your nose in other people's

MAUREEN
Who said I was talking to you?

JOANNE
We used to have this fight each night

MARK
Calm down

JOANNE
She'd never admit I existed

MARK
Everyone please!

MIMI
He was the same way he was always
"Run away hit the road
Don't commit" you're full of shit

JOANNE
She's in denial

MIMI
He's in denial

JOANNE
Didn't give an inch
When I gave a mile

MARK
Come on

MIMI
I gave a mile

ROGER
Gave a mile to who?

MARK & BENNY
Come on guys chill

MIMI & JOANNE
I'd be happy to die for a taste of what Angel had
Someone to live for unafraid to say I love you

ROGER
All your words are nice Mimi
But love's not a three way street
You'll never share real love
Until you love yourself I should know

COLLINS
You all said you'd be cool today
So please for my sake
I can't believe he's gone
(to ROGER) I can't believe you're going
I can't believe this family must die
Angel helped us believe in love
I can't believe you disagree

ALL
I can't believe this is goodbye

(MAUREEN and JOANNE look at each other)

MAUREEN
Pookie

JOANNE
Honeybear

(They embrace)

JOANNE
I missed you
MAUREEN
I missed your smell

JOANNE
I missed your mouth...Your

(They kiss, but MAUREEN pulls away)

MAUREEN
Ow

JOANNE
What?

MAUREEN
Nothing, Pookie

JOANNE
No, baby, you said ow...What?

MAUREEN
Well, you bit my tongue

JOANNE
No, I didn't

MAUREEN
You did I'm bleeding

JOANNE
No, it isn't

MAUREEN
I think I should know

JOANNE
Let me see

MAUREEN
She doesn't believe me!

JOANNE
I was only trying to

(They laugh, hug, and wave goodbye, exiting stage right.)

BENNY
stands off to the side as MIMI approaches ROGER, who turns away. She
hesitates before leaving with BENNY. ROGER and MARK are left alone)

MARK
I hear there are great restaurants out west

ROGER
Some of the best. How could she?

MARK
How could you let her go?

ROGER
You just don't know How could we lose Angel?

MARK
Maybe you'll see why when you stop escaping your pain
At least now if you try- Angel's death won't be in vain

ROGER
His death is in vain

(MIMI reappears up left, in the shadows. She overhears ROGER and
MARK's conversation)

MARK
Are you insane?
There so much to care about
There's me- there's Mimi

ROGER
Mimi's got her baggage, too

MARK
So do you

ROGER
Who are you to tell me what I know, what to do

MARK
A friend

ROGER
But who, Mark, are you?
"Mark has got his work"
They say "Mark lives for his work"
And "Mark's in love with his work"
Mark hides in his work

MARK
But from what?

ROGER
From facing your failure, facing your loneliness
Facing the fact you live a lie
Yes, you live a lie tell you why
You're always preaching not to be numb
When that's how you thrive
You pretend to create and observe
When you really detach from feeling alive

MARK
Perhaps it's because I'm the one of us to survive

ROGER
Poor baby

MARK
Mimi still loves Roger
Is Roger really jealous
Or afraid that Mimi's weak

ROGER
Mimi did look pale

MARK
Mimi's gotten thin
Mimi's running out of time
Roger's running out the door

ROGER
No more! Oh no
I've gotta go

MARK
Hey, for somebody who's always been let down
Who's heading out of town?

ROGER
For someone who longs for a community of his own,
Who's with his camera, alone?
(ROGER takes a step to go, then stops, turns)
I'll call
I hate the fall
(ROGER turns to go and sees MIMI)
You heard?

MIMI
Every word
You don't want baggage without lifetime guarantees
You don't want to watch me die
I just came to say
Goodbye, love
Goodbye, love
Came to say goodbye, love, goodbye

MIMI
Just came to say
Goodbye love
Goodbye love
Goodbye love
Goodbye

ROGER
Glory
One blaze of
Glory
Have to find

(ROGER exits. BENNY returns. MIMI steps away)

MIMI
Please don't touch me
Understand
I'm scared
I need to go away

MARK
I know a place a clinic

BENNY
A rehab?

MIMI
Maybe could you?

BENNY
I'll pay

MIMI
Goodbye love
Goodbye love
Came to say goodbye, love, goodbye
Just came to say
Goodbye love
Goodbye love
Goodbye love
Hello disease

*Your Eyes
(very emotional song; even Adam Pascal said that this was the most heart-breaking song he's ever sung; Roger sings this while Mimi lies dying)

ROGER
Your eyes
As we said our goodbyes
Can't get them out of my mind
And I find I can't hide
From your eyes
The ones that took me by surprise
The night you came into my life
Where there's moonlight I see your eyes
(Band takes over)
How'd I let you slip away
When I'm longing so to hold you
Now I'd die for one more day
'Cause there's something I should have told you
Yes there's something I should have told you
When I looked into your eyes
Why does distance make us wise?
You were the song all along
And before this song dies
I should tell you I should tell you
I have always loved you
You can see it in my eyes
(We hear Musetta's Theme, played correctly and passionately. MIMI's
head falls to the side and her arm drops limply off the edge of the table)
Mimi!

*Finale B
(Mimi dies at the end of his song; but she comes alive here; the last song; one of my absolute favorites)

(Suddenly, MIMI's hand twitches. Incredibly, she is still alive)

MIMI
I jumped over the moon

ROGER
What?

MIMI
A leap of moooooooooooo

JOANNE
She's back

MIMI
I was in a tunnel. Heading for this warm, white light

MAUREEN
Oh my god

MIMI
And I swear Angel was there and she looked GOOD! And she said, "Turn
around, girlfriend, and listen to that boy's song"

COLLINS
She's drenched

MAUREEN
Her fever's breaking

MARK
There is no future there is no past

ROGER
Thank God this moment's not the last

MIMI & ROGER
There's only us
There's only this
Forget regret or life is yours to miss

ALL
No other road no other way
No day but today

(As the finale grows, the entire COMPANY makes its way on stage)

WOMEN
I can't control
My destiny
I trust my soul
My only goal is just to be

MEN
Will I lose my dignity?
Will someone care?
Will I wake tomorrow
From this nightmare?

(MARK's film resumes, along with two more films projecting on the back
wall, "Scenes from RENT...")

WOMEN
Without you
The hand gropes
The ear hears
The pulse beats
Life goes on
But I'm gone
'Cause I die
Without you
I die without you
I die without you
I die without you

MEN
There's only now
There's only here
Give in to love
Or live in fear
No other path
No other way
No day but today
No day but today
No day but today
No day but today

ALL
No day but today

Okay, so those weren't exactly just lines; I couldn't resist. I could have put all the lyrics here but these are the ones that really had an impact on me.

But if you want to know all the lyrics, here's where I got them from: http://www.songwords.net/waiguo/soundtrack/rent/index.htm

Since Dad's stuck here with me, he takes every opportunity to bug me. He's always been like that; a bit annoying but hey, keeps me from getting bored most of the time. He still can't drive because of his stitches from the operation. He's making me read "GENGHIS KHAN" by Harold Lamb; its actually interesting. I love history so he figured that I'd like it; now I'm seeing the notoriously infamous Genghis Khan in a whole new light.

I can't believe its Thursday; its been exactly a week since I left Manila. How time flies

I've been dancing in my room like crazy; but I'm enjoying myself

I know I had a weird dream last night but I really can't remember it; I just remember waking up and asking myself, "What the hell?!" before laughing my head off.

Trent's resting in my room; thank goodness not many people are bothering to text me. Of course there were those people who constantly send me "good morning" quotes and jokes and all that; I'm surprised that they're still sending me those stuff even if I don't reply. But I'm still happy about it; at least I know that they remember me one way or another.

I still can't believe that Danzel likes me and that Meg knew all along!; I dunno why. We've only hung out once and we only pass each other aroundthe school. So why on earth does he
like me?

All for today, folks!

LSS OF THE DAY: "LA VIE BOHEME" FROM RENT

Its back to that again. Oh well. What can you do? I love it to death.

No smileys. Sad.

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank the following people before I go busy again..

  • MARK DELA CRUZ - You may be gone, but I know that your spirit lives on in me. I miss you so much bestie. I hope the angels are treating you well. I'll always pray for you.

  • NEIL DEONA - You may not be the best conversationalist in Earth, but I really appreciate what you did for me during our P.E. Thank you for giving me the chance to score and for paying back at those cheaters when you heard what they said about me. I didn't know that you cared so much for us. Thank you so much. Your really like our big brother. Well, father in Iris' case *wink*

  • SIMON FELISMINO - You could make a very good bodyguard someday. With your height and built and all that. Thanks for coming with us to the mall yesterday; I'm sure you had fun during our laughtrip in the Food Court. And thanks for showing that you cared.

As I mentioned, we went to the mall yesterday to pass our letter to the manager of Papemelrotti for our thing for Psych. Then we went to Food Court and talked and laughed (a LOT). Halfway through our laughing session, we didn't even know why we were laughing which was of course, terribly funny. I can't remember who among my professors said it, but he was right, LAUGHTER IS ALWAYS THE BEST MEDICINE.

Our finals are scheduled on October 8-11. Its HELL WEEK once again and its time to go TOXIC. Alright!

Longer post next time, I swear. I have so much to tell you all.

LSS OF THE DAY: "I'LL COVER YOU" FROM RENT

I'm feeling a whole lot better now. Thank you to the people who took the time to come and visit me at home. I love you guys

Something doesn't feel..right.

I dunno. I have this strange feeling that something got ripped out of my chest and all that's left is a gaping hole in it. I'd get breathless sometimes and there were times when I would feel extremely light-headed. I don't know if its a physical condition that I should worry about or if its just a passing thing. This is the first time I've experienced this and frankly, I'm a bit concerned. I've had a few health scares before but none of them were very serious (well, as far as I can tell). I know I should feel slightly panicked right now, but strangely, I'm not.

I've been getting really freaky dreams for the past couple of days. I'm not a mystic, but I can't help but feel that my dreams are "trying" to tell me something; something really important. Or maybe I've been watching way too many horror movies; does anyone see the connection yet? Now I'm getting myself lost. What's wrong with me?!

It's official: Anthony Rapp is gay. *inhale-exhale* Remember your blood pressure, Lui.

Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs make such a cute couple. I hope they stay together 'til the very end.

Bochok makes me smile everytime he shows up for my screensaver. Come on, not everyone gets to see a dancing pig on their cell phone.

"Look at the sky, tell me what do you see; just close your eyes and describe it to me..."

LSS OF THE DAY: "WHAT YOU OWN" FROM RENT

Long time no blog!

I've been busy, and lazy at the same time so I wasn't able to update for awhile.

So, anyway, we went to Hong Kong and had a lot of fun. Of course, we went to Disneyland. There's just too much to say about what happened there. I wish I had more time. I swear that I'll say more next time.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT ANTHONY RAPP IS GAY. Sorry, I am still in denial even though I found out about it last Saturday. (He is not gay!)

I got a new phone! Its a Nokia 6233. Actually, it once belonged to my Dad he only had it for 2 or 3 months before he decided to buy a new phone because he said that the keypad was too small. Yey for me!

But, just a few days ago, Sunday to be exact, Trent (my phone) went haywire because of the security code. I couldn't unlock my phone even if I already removed the battery and simcard. So I went to Quiapo with the daughter of our landlady and looked for their "suki" in repairing cell phones. But they were closed so we kept on looking around and all the cell phone repair stores that we went to had the same price: 800 pesos. I decided to come back after class. When we were dismissed, I decided to go to SM San Lazaro and try my luck there. When I got to the place where the jeep, Jane (my room mate from first year) was there and she went with me. Lots of talking and catching up with each other. We went to GLobe and when they couldn't help us, we went to a cell phone repair shop near Globe. The guy said that it'll cost me 800 also; but Jane asked if we could pay for 500 and they agreed. So we waited, and waited, and waited. After 3 and a half hours of waiting, they still weren't done. So I said that I'll just come back for it the next day. The guy who was fixing my phone was really nice so he lent me his phone while mine was being fixed.

Now, we're okay. Thank goodness!

I am such a HYPOCRITE. And I am NOT PROUD of it.

Sarah's debut is coming up! But what am I going to wear?!

I dunno when I'll be able to upload my pictures from Hong Kong.

LSS OF THE DAY: "FINALE B" FROM THE MOVIE. RENT

I'm not gonna stop, and you know it!

I went to Dominican yesterday and I had fun! It was great to see my friends again. And of course, HE was there. I couldn't look at him but I knew he was looking at me. I only talked to his sisters when they called me. I went with Melanie, Kathleen and their friends to Jollibee for lunch and had a chat with Jamy, Chad, Paula and Beverly. I learned a lot of stuff from them and I was the butt of most of their jokes, but I let them slide. After that we went back to the school since they had a review. I talked with Sister Althea while I was waiting for them. Then me and Melanie hung out at the library. I got embarassed while I was there so whoever saw it, please don't tell anyone. Thank you

Why am I so tired all the time??

I'll try to update tomorrow 'coz I still have a lot to say!

LSS OF THE DAY: "I'LL COVER YOU (REPRISE)" FROM THE MOVIE, RENT

So, here I go again. What can I do?

Can't use smileys. Darn computer here in Websternet's pretty slow.

I'm spreading the RENT love everywhere!

Busy week. Lots of stuff to do. P.E. was okay. Our first ever practice game; FUN! Even though my glasses came off while I caught the ball but I still managed to throw it to my team mate while putting them back on.

I just realized something. While I was listening to "La Vie Boheme", I wondered what the term "bohemia" meant to them. So I searched the Net for it and this was what came out:

In modern usage, the term "bohemian" can describe any person who lives an unconventional artistic life, where self-expression is the highest value — that art (acting, poetry, writing, singing, dancing, painting etc) is a serious and main focus of their life.

It was like a bell rang in my head after I read that. So, I'm a bohemian. I consider dancing and singing as my "highest value in my life". When I'm alone in my dorm room, I dance and sing like crazy but when I hear the doorknob turn I stop and pretend that I'm just walking around the room, thinking or something. Of course, I don't think my room mates suspect anything but I'm just playing safe. If they put on a play of "RENT" in school, I am so gonna audition and I wanna get the part of Mimi!

We don't have classes tomorrow. Forgot why.

Me and my friends are planning to go to Intramuros then to Trinoma next week on August 8, since we won't have classes then. I think we're gonna go through with it. I hope so.

I've been getting really weird dreams lately. What's gonna happen to me?!

I think I'm gonnaa get sick.

I've been feeling a little depressed lately. What's new?

I won't be going home for two weeks. One, because of my darn exam in NSTP (which will either be on Saturday OR Sunday) and then my preliminary examinations the week after. So I'll be staying with my Tita in Fairview for awhile.

I guess that will be all for today. Thank you to the people who drop by my blog once in awhile. I promnise to tag you guys back as soon as I can.

Now, off to the General Assembly of BES! (go Ella! go Mik!)

LSS OF THE DAY: "TODAY FOR YOU, TOMORROW FOR ME" FROM THE MOVIE, RENT

I'm not gonna stop and you know it

It's been one hell of a week and I got so much to say to you all!

MONDAY, JULY 9 - I don't remember a lot about what happened during class but I do remember what happened after class. I was so hungry when we got dismissed so I dragged Meg with me to Dapitan where I ate in Chowking. Iris joined us after awhile. Then we went back to school because Meg had to accompany Kuya Lawrence in the AB Debate booth for the Org. Fair. We hung out there for awhile, talking, laughing, taking pictures of Sir Olivar; and then, I saw Kuya JC coming out of the building. I swear, I wanted to jump and scream. He's gotten a little thinner but he still looks good. I could only imagine how red my cheeks were at that time and Meg and Iris' didn't make it easier with their teasings. When he was gone I was able to breathe a little. Then we saw Dylan Ababou on our other side! I went nuts! I asked Meg if it was okay if she would ask him to have his picture taken with me. I was shaking like a leaf when I approached him. He was so tall, and so cute. We were so close to each other, and I mean really close.

Me was very happy. He even thanked me!. So anyway, after that "Ababou craze", we all turned our attention to Kuya Lawrence. Then Janel came by and she was hysterical; she likes Kuya Lawrence. Actually, she's liked him since he became our classmate in PGC last semester. She was shaking so badly and her hands were going cold; even Kuya Lawrence showed a little concern which only made her go crazy even more. After while, he left and Sarah and Mau came by. Took some pictures and stuff before heading home.
That night, I talked to Romeo. At this point I got a lot of explaining to do. When we broke up a few months ago, I thought that it was really over between us; my world came crashing down when we broke up and I was unconsolable. The reason for our break-up was pretty clear; he didn't want us to be so far apart from each other and I understood that. Long-distance relationships are pretty hard to maintain. Then he asked if I could wait until the time that he graduated and when he would move to Manila, that way we could be closer. I said that I'd try; but that night, I don't know, I just felt as if I couldn't take it anymore. I've been debating with myself for the past few weeks on whether or not I should let go. But ultimately, I made my decision. I told him that I was letting go; it broke my heart to say it, but I had to. He didn't want me to let go so he asked for another chance. Another chance? I didn't know what else to say so I told him that I'll think about it.

TUESDAY, JULY 10 - P.E. day. It was so tiring! But we had more fun this time than the last time. Our professor gave us easier stuff to do, so thank goodness for that!. Again, Richard was just on the other side of the court and he kept looking at me; probably looking for an excuse to tease me. I went straight to the dorm after P.E., took a nice cold bath, then went to the library to do some research about our report in English. I left a little earlier than the others because I was supposed to meet Sarah in Jollibee for lunch. Then went back to school, classes, classes, classes. While we were waiting for one of our professors to come in, my friends surprised me with a belated birthday gift. They all gave me messages and compiled them; Meg even drew a cartoon version of me.

If only I look that good in real life...

I was really touched with the stuff they said and I'll never forget that day. They really surprised me; Meg and Sarah left the classroom for awhile so Iris, Janel and I stayed behind. When they came in I didn't even notice that Meg was hiding it behind her back; I didn't even suspect anything when she passed me and did a complete rotation around me (she was hiding it behind her back so I wouldn't see it). Finally, she sat down and beckoned all of us to come nearer. She laid it face-down on her lap so I didn't know what it was. I thought it was a poster for a student organization or something but when she finally gave it to me, I read it over and over again just to make sure that I wasn't going blind or anything. And sure enough, that was it. I was in tears when I realized that they made it for me. I love those guys. I am gonna love them forever. When Mark passed by he asked what was all the fuss about; when Meg told him he was like, "Oh yeah! Your birthday! I totally forgot!"; then he gave me a hug. Oh well. Better late than never. Our professor in Psychology got in really late; the rule there is that if the professor doesn't show up after 30mins. (for MWF classes), the class president must go to the Dean's office and ask if the professor is absent, if he/she is, then we have a whole free period to ourselves. But if its a one hour and 30-min. class and the professor doesn't show up after 45mins., we do the same thing. It was already well past 45mins. when she came in. Darn it. It was raining when we got out so I had to run and jump all he way to the dorm. I got a little wet but I didn't mind.
Talked to Romeo again. I told him that I was going to give him one last chance. If he messes up again, it will be totally over. Then I asked him what he planned to do now that he got his chance; he said he wanted to make up for lost time and for the mistake he did a few months ago. In other words, he wanted us to get back together. I thought really hard about that so I kept him talking while I was thinking; I asked him what about his girlfriend, he said he already broke up with her. I asked about the "distance thing", he said that he'll make it work anyway. I kept on stalling until I ran out of stuff to say; until finally, all I could say was, "YES". This time, I'm not going to take our relationship seriously. I took it too seriuosly before so that's why I got really hurt. But if I take it lightly, I won't get as hurt as before. I know I'm being stupid for agreeing to be his girlfriend again, but hey, I'm a hopeless romantic. Whatever the outcome, it'll be my fault and I won't spend my time wallowing in self-pity when we break up again. I've become stronger since we broke up so I know that I won't get broken that easily. When it comes, I'm ready for it. This is my problem and no one else's. So if you have anything negative or positive to say about this, please let me know; I could use a little laughter right now

WEDNESDAY, JULY 11 - I bought a new scientfic calculator becuase my old one was causing me a lot of trouble. Then me and Janel ate in Jollibee (yes, again) before going to school. After class, Mau accompanied me to the Health Service because I wasn't feeling very well; the results are okay, nothing serious. Mau was even making his own diagnosis while I described to him what I was feeling; surprisngly what he said and the doctor who checked on me said were not that far apart. We went back to the AB building after that and went to the Guidance Office where Meg and Sarah were taking their personality tests. We had a lot of fun while talking to Ma'am Shake. We even made a new friend from the other section named Jo. She joined us when we went to Jollibee (again!) after we left the Guidance Office; and you know what? WE stayed there until almost 7 in the evening! We arrived there around past 4 and left really late. WE were having so much fun! We even stalked Sir Olivar. I'll put up the link at the end of the post. We found out from Jo that the first years now wrote a hate letter to Professor Dalangin (our professor in History and Geography last school year and one of my favorite professors there); how dare they! When I find out who did that I am gonna wring that person's filthy little neck and choke the life out of him. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY has the right to talk crap about Sir Dalangin. And if they drae to do it again, they won't just be hearing from me, but from my other classmates as well.

THURSDAY, JULY 12 - I attended my first meeting on THE FOCUS. It's the official newsletter of Behavioral Science and they recruited me to be one of their staffers. I had a great time; we were laughing and joking around while some were actually doing some of the real work. I wasn't really familiar with the stuff that they were saying so I just stayed out of it. After that me and Meg ate in San Mig beofre heading off to the library. We ran into Sarah and Mau and Sarah joined us becuase Mau had a class to attend. We went to the Filipiniana section because Sarah had to research for her report in Rizal. Our classmate, Mark Anido, was there reviewing for our recitation in Natural Science. I asked him if he could accompany me in looking for the book that had everything we needed to know that was sure to come up in our recitation. So we went down two floors to the Science and Technology section but the book wasn't there so I had to look for another one. I had it xeroxed then I read it. We went down for lunch when it was already 12pm. Classes, laughtrip in Philo and stuff. And Sir Olivar made me cry. All becuase of one darn question. I was so pressured to answer it but I really had no idea what he was talking about. I looked at my classmates and I could see that they didn't understand what he was saying either. I guess I couldn't take it so I let it all out through my tears. I'll do better next time even if I have to read every single book in the library. Just wait, Sir Olivar. You think you know everything just becuase your a professor, but just you wait...
At least one good thing happened; we didn't have Psychology because our professor was absent. As for History, I am so not liking it. Mainly becuase of the professor. She talks to us as if we're a bunch of kids! And everytime she talks, she sticks her tongue out. That kind of stuff distracts me from the lesson! Urgh! I want Professor Dalangin!

And finally, today. I'm in Dagupan right now. I'm gonna watch Harry Potter with Kathleen adn the other seniors in the morning. I can't wait! I hope its good. I've been getting mixed reviews about it so I'll just have to wait and see
