LSS OF THE DAY: "I'LL COVER YOU"

It is so back!
The highlight of my week was when we went to the Mass held for Jun Lozada in La Salle on Sunday. I had a blast! Upon entering the campus, the people stood up and applauded when my tito walked in; me and my cousin were like, "Okay, keep walking, keep walking", although we did have like, 10 seconds of fame. And we sat just a few seats away from Tito Joey! And he still recognized me, despite the fact that we've only met once and that was like, a year ago. When Jun Lozada came in, all the reporters just pushed and shoved us out of the way just so they can get a shot of him. The mass was great; the homily the priest said was so uplifting.
And when the people stood up and sang "BAYAN KO", that was really beautiful. I took a video of it and I'll upload it when I have the time.
Grizzly Bear's coming over to UST later and we're gonna play frisbee!

LSS OF THE DAY: "OUT TONIGHT"

Uh-huh. I now have a name for what I'm going through: THE RENT SONG SYNDROME; you like?
Smileys. Miss them.
Classes got suspended because of the strike so now I'm here in Netopia typing my assignment in History. So in a way, it's like a blessing ni disguise; at least I don't have to wake up at an unearthly hour tomorrow just to do it.
Okay, so this Christmas party thing..WHAT THE HELL?! I swear, if they blame us for whatever they could think of, they'll finally see the worst side of me.
What the heck am I talking about?
The thing is, our class officers want to have a Christmas party; we would have been okay with it, if they actually listened to what we wanted. Sure, they ask us what we want, but do they actually listen? Hell no. They have this big group of friends on one side of the room, while we're on the other side of the room. And what they want, they get. They completely ignore us. I dunno who said it, but they dubbed their side as the "MAJORITY" while we are known as the "CULTURAL MINORITY". How pathetic, and not to mention degrading and insulting, is that?
And one of them said, "We want to have a Christmas party becuase we want to celebrate it as a class". Honey, look around; do you think that our class is united? Or are you too plastic to admit that your only saying that to put up a good front?
We would have been okay with everything if you didn't just listen to your inner circle. Your not the only group that breathes inside that classroom; in case you haven't noticed, you didn't include the OTHER HALF of the class in your votes and whatever. YOU people voted yourselves as class officers, whatever YOU want gets followed. And do you think that just because we don't speak up we don't care? If only you saw the looks on our faces I bet you'd say otherwise. And besides, we've tried talking to you, but you just wouldn't listen, so we didn't bother anymore.
I'm not talking about just one person; there are a lot of them.
And a while ago, when class was dismissed, someone said that we shouldn't go out yet because the party still had to be planned. Then someone said that whoever wasn't going to attend the party may leave; so we got up and made our way to the door. Apparently, some people thought that we didn't hear the "stay to plan for the party" part so they repeated it; and then someone else repeated the "you can go if your not coming to the party" thing. I saw the looks on their faces; they looked a bit surprised. I bet they haven't had anyone walk out on them before, and I'm glad we did.
If they ask us why we didn't want to go, they'd better be prepared for a very long speech. They have it coming. And I'm actually thinking of some very good curse words that'll leave their noses bleeding. How sweet that would be.
I'm being mean, I know. But I'm just so effing mad at them. They need to be brought back to earth. Just because they were given their positions, (or rather, they chose THEMSELVES for that position) doesn't mean that they could abuse their powers. They have responsibilities too, you know.
I'm sorry for this "hate post", but I just had to let it out. Me and my friends already had this conversation earlier; Sarah was still fuming when we separated. And I'm sure that the MAJORITY will be talking about this. And come on, as if they're gonna miss us. They have a huge group and they only talk to us when they need something. Plastic, much?
*sigh* Okay, I should stop now. I still have an assignment to do. And I apologize if I didn't make a lot of sense; I'm still upset.

LSS OF THE DAY: "YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE" PERFORMED BY JORDIN SPARKS ON AMERICAN IDOL
The American Idol finale draws ever nearer. I'm so excited!. It's now down to two: Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis. I was kinda expecting Blake to be voted off last Thursday so I was really surprised when Melinda got voted off instead. Shocker
. But I really shouldn't be surprised that much. I mean, she's okay and all that but she a bit--uhh--old-fashioned. Not hip like Jordin or Blake. Jordin's young and she's so bubbly that people just can't get enough of her. And Blake, wow! His beat-boxing's the best!
. I think Jordin will win. But we'll just have to wait for next week

*YAHOO because it's my default browser and because I always check my mail first before I do anyting else.
*FRIENDSTER OR MULTIPLY. When I check my mail, I see if I have any updates on both of my accounts and I go there right after I sign out of my inbox. Sometimes I only have updates on Friendster so I don't bother in checking my Multiply.
*BLOGGER. Of course, for my updates and for viewing my blog.
*OTHER PEOPLE'S BLOGS. I go blog-hopping once in awhile when I'm not feeling lazy. But everytime I go online, I always read five or six people's blogs.
*YOUTUBE. I especially like going to this site after an episode of American Idol so I can watch their performances again.
*FANFICTION. I love to read other people's stories. I get inspired by some of them to write my own story, which I will discuss more about a little later on.

1. I TALK TO MYSELF. Yes, I do. When I've got nothing else to do, I talk to myself. Sometimes, when I'm walking down the street, I whisper stuff to myself and I answer back. I say my thoughts aloud and I'll even comment on what I just said. Weird enough for you?
2. I PREFER BEING ALONE THAN SPEND TIME WITH OTHER PEOPLE. I'm sorta anti-social. I've always been anti-social. Enough said.
3. I NAME INANIMATE OBJECTS. I named my iPod, TONY; I named my digicam, TORI (actually, my sister suggested that name when I told her that I was gonna name it); I named my bag, FUZZY, because it had one of those thumb-sucking monkeys hanging as a keychain. Do I have to say more?.
4. I THINK SHOPPING IS A WASTE OF TIME. I don't like shopping. Some people find it strange, even bizarre, that I don't like to shop because I'm a girl. So what? I don't mind shopping for maybe one or two hours, but a whole day of shopping? No way! I apologize for the "shopaholics' out there. Please don't hate me.
5. I LIKE EVERYTHING THAT HAS MINT ON IT. Mint chocolate, mint ice cream, mint shakes. Everything Mint!.
6. ALL MY STUFF IS BLACK. The pouch where I put my cellphone is black (but my cellhpone's color green), my iPod and its case is black, the case of my digicam is black, my wallet is black (so when you open my bag and look inside, it appears that I didn't bring anything because the interior is also black), and I prefer wearing black t-shirts even if its really, really hot. I hardly wear colored shirts; but when I do wear them, that usually means that I'm out of black stuff to wear.

I just heard from my Mom awhile ago that Benjie Lim, who ran for Congressman in our district and lost to JDV, said that "his life was in danger bcause he ran against JDV". What the hell?!

Wow. How did that get there?
Something's wrong with the internet; I can't view my blog or other people's blogs, I can't check my mail, and I can't open other websites. I can't even open the site where I get my emoticons. What the hell is going on?!
We were watching then news awhile ago and all we heard were "this guy cheated on the elections" or "this person paid some other person to add more ballots that has his/her name on it" and so on. Are they really that desperate to win? They're all a bunch of spoiled-sports; they can't accpet the fact that the people don't want them in office and yet they still force themselves to win by cheating. Hell.
American Idol! The final three contestants, JORDIN SPARKS, MELINDA DOOLITTLE and BLAKE LEWIS did really well. Each contestant gets to sing three songs; one song that was picked by one of the judges, one song that the producers picked for them and one song that they pick for themselves. They all got good comments from the judges and they totally rocked the stage. I loved Blake's version of "This Love" by Maroon5; his beat-boxing was of the hook! And for the first time in a long time, Simon's actually in a good mood. I wonder why. A lot of people are betting that either Melinda or Blake are gonna go but a slightly smaller number of people think thaty Jordin's gonna be voted off. We'll find out tomorrow!
I'm not in the mood to say much today. Darn internet.

These guys are so funny! I watched the video of this song a lot of times already and they still make me laugh. Even after all these years, they haven't lost their touch. When I saw them on American Idol and Jack BLack did his own rendition of "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal, that really got me rolling in my seat! And the look on his partner's face while he was singing was so cute!

It's Election Day today. I wonder who will win. There are these articles being passed around about one candidate or another saying that he/she is not corrupt, is always willing to help, is currently working on a project and so on. Everyone knows that they're only doing it for the votes; who knows, they might not even be doing all the crap they put on that article. They're all the same.
I'm related to one of the candidates running for congressman in our district; I'm not even entirely sure if he's corrupt or not. Of course, other members of my family will say that he isn't corrupt but maybe they're just covering up for him. I don't know what to believe anymore. We live in a world full of uncertainty; no one can really tell what's right or what's wrong anymore. They're just there, staring and laughing at us.
I can't vote yet even though I just turned eighteen because I wasn't able to register. If I voted, I might leave my voting sheet blank because I don't want to vote people who are only in it for the money and the fame and not for helping the people they should be serving. To hell with them all.
Okay, enough with politics (there's that nasty taste in my mouth again).
I am currently downloading more tunes from LimeWire; Tony's not complaining of course.
I got two messages on Friendster with the subject "UST" and they were sent by my former classmates in high school. When I read them, I rolled my eyes. Here's what it said:

There's this guy on Multiply who's looking for a girlfriend. He's saying stuff like he's "sexy", "cute", "intelligent" and whatever else he said and at the end of his post he said: "If you think that I'm your type, please contact me on this website". Wow. He's THAT desperate?

It's so hot! I like summer, don't get me wrong. I just hate it when it gets so hot the whole day and it gets cold at night; maybe that's another reason why I'm sick. And now my brother and sister got the sniffles and the cough, too. And of course, they blame me for that
