LSS OF THE DAY: "GOIN' COURTIN' " FROM "SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS"

How did that get there?! I've been humming it since this morning! Hahaha!:)

Anyways..

I'M BAAAAAAAAAACK!:)

After 12 hours and 35 minutes of travelling, (I timed it; and that was just from Naga to Dagupan) I am finally home. Tired, but I had fun:)

We left for Manila around past 5 in the afternoon on Wednesday (APRIL 4), then we got to Tita Marissa's house around 10p.m.

We got up at 5a.m. the next morning (APRIL 5), and off to Naga! From there, it was a long and tiring ride; with all the traffic, the bad roads, etc. I can't even remember how many stop-overs we had! I slept through most of the ride. I dunno why, but everytime I know that it's gonna be hours before we reach our destination, I immediately fall asleep. Seriously. Advantage: I get to rest a lot. Disadvantage: I miss out on the sights and stuff. Oh well.

We arrived at Tita Beth's (my Dad's girlfriend) house around 5p.m. We were so exhausted. We had dinner there then we went to the mall. It wasn't really big. It was sorta..uhh..cramped? Then we went to the hotel. I forgot the name. I think it was Villa Caracas or something. I know there's an "E" somewhere in the name but I can't remember where it's supposed to be. I accompanied my brother and sistert to the swimming pool and I just watched over them while I waited for my Dad to join me. Here's a fact: I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SWIM. Okay, maybe just a little, but I'm not very good at it. I almost drowned when I was kid so I guess from that day on, I always stay at the shallow part of the pool or the beach. But I really don't go there as much as possible. So, I just watched them, then we went back to our rooms (my sister and I had a room to ourselves while my Dad, my brother and our next-door neighbor stayed in another) and relaxed. We could have stayed in Tita Beth's house, but I don't think they had enough room for us.

The next day, (APRIL 6) we had breakfast in Tita Beth's house. By the way, Tita Beth wasn't there. She's in the States. Her mom and other relatives live in that house so they were our hosts. After that we went to Legaspi, which is like, an hour an half drive from their house. On our way there, I saw a lot of stuff that made my eyes grow as big as saucers; coconut trees that sagged, houses that were buried deep in the soil, houses with only the garages left, a whole street empty because whatever was on it fell to the river below; the devastation left by typhoon Reming last year. I almost forgot that it was the place that was most affected by that deadly typhoon. It was heart-wrenching. Then we went to the ruins of the church that was destroyed by Mayon volcano. The top part is all that's left; the rest is buried underground. My sister and I went crazy, taking pictures here and there. But my brother was getting a wee bit paranoid. He kept on saying that the volcano ight erupt any minute and that he didn't want to die by drowning in lava. At first it was tolerable, but a little later it just got so unbeareable. After awhile, we left (coz it was so hot) and we went to this market place. I didn't buy anything because almost all the stuff I saw were almost similar to the stuff I saw in Baguio on my last trip. Nothing unique.

Then we went to the Hoyop-Hoyopan caves. They were beautiful! All the shapes and sizes! Our imagination ran wild! We kept on pointing at all the rock formations, saying things like, "That looks like a bird!" or "Hey! Doesn't that look like a chicken leg? Or an eagle's head?" If you were there, I bet you'd have fun too:)

We had lunch afterwards, then we went to Lake Buhi, where the smallest fish in the world (the pandaca pigmea) could be found. It was so windy! But the view was breath-taking. Again, picture here, picture there. And again, my brother kept on complaining that it was "too dangerous" to go near the water. Hay. When will he learn?

Then we went back to Naga, visited two churches, then had dinner at Tita Beth's house, then went back to the hotel.

On APRIL 7, once again, had breakfast at their place, then we left at exactly 7:48 a.m. From there, we went back to Dagupan. LONG RIDE. 12 hours and 37 minutes. I only slept for a little while coz my brother was trying to keep me awake. Dunno why. Hehehehe:)

I'm tired. And I'm still uploading the pictures. I'll let you guys know when you can see them:)

Gotta go! Sorry if everything was kinda rushed. I'll say more on my next post. I'll update again tomorrow night. Or tonight. Hehehe:)

Take care y'all!:)
