LSS OF THE DAY: "THE WAY" BY CLAY AIKEN

The DS Havens lost yesterday to the JJDV High School; by a margin of just 1 point!!! DAMN!!!

I am sooooooo busy right now! I just finished researching for our assignment in Economics tomorrow (4 pages long, man!) and now I'm gonna log-off and go to the Central Library in USTe, then to Ecclesiastical Library near the Church so I could find that darn article about Friedrich Nietzsche for my darn term paper in Philosophy.

TOXIC MODE!!!!!

LSS OF THE DAY: LOSE YOURSELF BY EMINEM

Grabe! I'm sooooooo busy na! Here's a quick recap of what I've been up to:

AUGUST 27:
I went back to Manila.
1st year anniversary namin ni Romeo:)
I reviewed for our quiz in Philosophy. I noticed that the scope wasn't as long as our previous topics. Hope it's easier:)
My cousins Carl and Alfred's birthday!:) My old cousins! Hehehehehe!:)

AUGUST 28:
Quiz in Philosophy! It wasn't as hard as I thought it was gonna be. History, it was my turn to report but I kept on stammering. I still have an unresolved problem with stage fright; as long as I'm standing in front of lots of people, my legs turn to jelly. Hehehehe:) Literature, we discussed about our report. I'm having a bit of trouble with the topic that was assigned to me: Irony. Oh dear lord. English, Professor Shimi wasn't around so we left at 10:30! Whoho!!:) When I got to the dorm, I ate my lunch, and I slept the WHOLE AFTERNOON; again. Hehehehehe:)
I didn't do anything that night except lie down on my bed and listen to my room mates' conversations. Jane told us a very funny story. I even made it into a text message and I sent it to some of my friends. Here's how it went:

hElpEr: SDA!

nyahahahaha! :p

Wala talaga magawa eh. Hehehehehe:)

AUGUST 29 (today):
My mom's birthday!:)
We evaluated our teachers today. Well, I don't need to mention here who I gave a high score and who I failed. {(Guess who? Hehehehehe:)}. Then discussion in Economics. I understand the lesson now. If only it was that easy in the first place then I wouldn't be terrified of failing it! Kuya Eddrex texted me during this class. He just asked how was I doing in my academics and the whole class in general. He's a really nice guy. And I still don't see his resemblance with Eddxer!! Hehehehehehe!:) Then in Sociology, Professor Peppin told us that we were lucky because we got to go to Bilibid last Thursday because the batch that went on Friday had to go back at 11:30 since there was a rumble in the Maximum Security Compound. 2 inmates died. Scary. And of course, she told us lots of stories. I love it when she shares some her personal experiences:) Now I'm here in Websternet. I'm gonna edit my reaction paper in History, research for our assignment in Economics and try to start my report in Literature. This is gonna take a while. Oh well.
Today's the cheerdancing competition in Dagupan. Dominican joined as well as City High, JJDV High School, MG and another school; I forgot which one. A lot of people were saying that maybe DS is gonna loose this year. Because our P.E. teacher, who is in charge of the pep squad, is overworking them, A LOT. They would practice the whole day with only 5-minute breaks and I heard that a lot of them got sick. Some of them were being forced to perform even though they were already too weak. Well, I hope they perform okay. If they loose, I'm sure that it wouldn't come as a surprise to any of them or to any of us. Good luck nalang sakanila.

Oh yeah. And I'm running really low on cash. I'm gonna try to bear the pain of eating the same food over and over again in the dorm coz food is the one thing I spend on the most. And of course, my internet time. Oh well.

Gotta start on my research. Buh-bye!:)

LSS OF THE DAY: THE SONG WITH THE LYRICS, "TIBAY AT LAKAS NG LOOB ANG *I forgot the next part here* PARA LANG SA 'YO" (You'll see why later)

Hey hey hey people!!! I'm back!!! Hehehehehe!:)

So, here's what's happened to me so far:

AUGUST 21:
Hmmmm. Wow. I forgot na yung mga ginawa namin. Hehehehehe!! Oh yeah, wala kaming pasok!! I went back to Manila this day pala. Hehehehehe!!:) We were supposed to have our practice for P.E. pero it was raining so we had to cancel it.

AUGUST 22:
My tita's birthday!:) Happy birthday tita Livy!:)

For the first time, I enjoyed Economics. We were discussing Marginal Utility when Professor Ostacio gave an example that was related to real-life situations. Pinagtripan namin yung "elastic" at "inelastic". Go Strachan!!! Hehehehehe!!:)

AUGUST 23:
May I.D. na kami!!! Pero I look soooooooooo dark.

Practical exam namin sa P.E. Grabe! Unprepared kami talaga! Time namin sa P.E. was 3-5. 1:30 we started practicing na. Pagdating namin dun, we practiced some more. Then when it was our turn to perform, nagkamali pa kami!! Two parts siya kasi eh; part 1 yung warm-up, part 2 yung stretching. Pero, you know what? I got a 1!!! That's equivalent to 96-100!! Cool!! My very first uno grade!!:)

AUGUST 24:
FIELD TRIP NAMIN TO BILIBID
!! I went to the school around 6:10 coz I had to meet Iris; we were gonna buy food to give to the inmate that we were going to interact with. She got there around 6:20 with Meg, another classmate of ours, so we walked as fast as we could to Mini-Stop in Dapitan. We bought those microwavable things; we both bought kare-kare and sisig. Sosyal! Hehehehehe!! Pero most of our classmates bought either Chowking, Jollibee or McDonalds. O, sinong mas sosyal? Hehehehehe!:) Then we met up with Janel sa Pav in front of the Church. I remember looking at my watch, 7:20; so much for "07:00 sharp". We thought that the buses that we were going to ride on were gonna come to us, we had to walk a little bit more pa sa Catwalk to get to them. It took a while to find our bus kasi walang nakasulat na section sa harap. Once we found it, we boarded it, and we were off after 15mins. Si Meg pala katabi ko the whole time. Dang, that girl can talk! And I mean TALK. But I didn't mind, di ako nabored sakanya. Saya niya talaga! Hehehehehe!:) I can't remember how long it took for us to get to Muntinlupa coz I was pretty much staring outside the window the whole ride, and talking to Meg once in a while:). I think it was like an hour and a half or something; can't remember na!! Hehehehehe!:) Anyway, when we went through the gate, there was this big face carved on white rock that kind of startled me when I first saw it. It looked, well, DEAD. I mean, some carvings look so realistic that it's like they could just jump out and touch you. But that looked really dead. Maybe because it had no pupils? I dunno. We went through another gate and at this point, our class president, Ms. Monica Manaig {one of the collest girls you'll ever meet:)} started collecting our cellphones since we weren't allowed to bring them inside. She took out her bag {Jansport pa!; wala lang, pansin ko lang;)} and we all put our cellphones in there; some of my classmates put their iPods and MP3 players there narin since strictly no gadgets allowed inside the vicinity. Baka kasi kunin ng mga inmates or something like that. We drove past the Maximum Security Compound, where Manero (the guy who ate a priest) was said to be staying (they wear orange shirts). Too bad we didn't get to see him. Then we went past these fields; they were really beautiful. The land was really well-taken care of. And all of us were like, "Wow. If only this place wasn't a prison then I'd come here everyday just to escape everything from the city". It was THAT nice. We saw a few cows, goats and carabaos grazing on the grass and it just added to the beauty of it all. We passed a lot of inmates from Minimum Security (they were in brown shirts) and we just waved at them. Wala lang, trip lang namin! Hehehehehe!:) Then we passed the Juvenile Training Center (I'm not sure if that's the correct name of it though) and we saw a few guys, around my age siguro or a little older, wearing these green shirts and they waved at us too. Yung isa pa dun medyo gwapo. Naks! Hehehehehe!:) I remember thinking "They even have juvenile delinquents here? Man, this place has it all!". Finally, we got to the Medium Security Compound. We left our stuff in the bus and we just took the food we bought with us. Upon entering, we were told that there were these security guards who were gonna check on the food we brought. Kasi baka daw nay nagdadala ng gin na nakalagay sa water bottle, since gin is clear it looks like water di ba? Kaya yun. They made us drink our water and they smelled it just to be sure. Then we were showed to the visiting center. It's not in a room or anything, it's like a waiting shed. Bigger than the one in Dominican of course. When we got there, a band started playing and a lot of us were moving our heads to the beat. Galing nila ha, in fairness. A total of 5 sections went on the trip; one section from BES (that's us), one section from Economics, one section from Philosophy, one section from Sociology and one section from Legal Management. A little later, the program started. The band played for us again and we sang along with them. An inmate called kuya JB hosted the program, ang saya niya maghost!:) Then came the Servants Motions Dancers. Dang!!! Ang galing nila!! On a scale from 1-10, they're an 11!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grabe!! Ang galing nila talaga!!! Talo pa nila mga Streetboys!! May cute pa dun!! Hehehehehehe!!:) My jaw dropped to the floor while they were dancing. Ang super galing nila talaga!! Then may mga kumanta, I forgot na the name basta it has the word "Teatro" in it. Magaling din sila. Ang ganda ng pagharmonize ng mga boses nila. Dami pa nagperform para sa amin. Ang gagaling nilang lahat! After the program, we were told na we were gonna have the interaction na. Me, Meg, Janel, Iris and some of our classmates were assgined in one group, and guess who we got to interact with? The Servants Motions Dancers!!!! Ang saya namin nung nalaman namin na sila yung mga kainteract namin!! Since there were 18 of us in that group, and I think there were 6 of the dancers that went to us, it was 3 students to one inmate. And the guy that went to us was:

~~Phillip Jay E. Alo;
~~prefers to be called "PJ";
~~25 years old;
~~came from a well-to-do family;
~~was sentenced to 8 years in prison (he was caught when he was 17) because he was caught stealing while he was high on drugs;
THE REASON: He had some problems with his family so he fell to "bisyo" and got into a bad barkada. They started stealing, which they thought was "good" or something, until they got caught.
~~loves to watch GMA; loves to watch all the shows there (nakilala pa nga niya ssi Krista eh; sabi pa nga niya sakanya, "Di ba ikaw yung nalink kay Kirby dati?);
~~he really loves to dance, that's why he joined the Servants Motions Dancers;
~~he had a girlfriend named Carmen; they were together for 6 years; they started going out when they were in 1st year high school; he broke up with her in 2002; the last thing he heard about her was that she got married already.

He's really nice. Saya namin na nakipagkwentuhan! Meg did most of the talking of course, while me and Ella just nodded and occasionaly said a thing or two. Hehehehehe!:) Then we took out our food and we started eating. We gave him a lot of the food but he said that he wasn't going to eat all of it coz he was thinking of giving it to the other inmates who weren't part of the inteaction. He ate Meg's longganisa, dami kasi eh. Hehehehe! I gave him the sisig, but when I opened the kare-kare I brought, medyo may amoy na siya. Iris, who was sitting next to me, but who was talking to another inmate, Kuya Mark, told me na even hers was starting to smell. Kuya Mark and Kuya JP offered us different food, so I took the sisig instead. Then we talked, and talked, and talked, and talked and talked. Walang katapusan pagkwentuhan namin!! And before we knew it, our time was up and we needed to go back to our original places because there was still the second part of the program. Kuya JP and the other dancers were gonna get ready also coz they were going to dance again. But before we parted, he showed us the picture of his ex-girlfriend and the first thing I thought was, "Hey! That's Jzan Brie (our classmate)!". I saw the similar reactions of Meg and Ella and we started teasing him. Just then, Jzan Brie passed by and we were like, "Hey Jzan! This is kuya PJ; you know what? You look like his ex-girlfriend! blah blah blah..." Then they started talking, uuuyyyy!! Hehehehehe!:) Then we took our seats and the second part of the program began. The singers sang a song called "Muntinlupa" and I was near tears by the end of it. There was this one line that said "Ganyan talaga ang buhay ng walang nagmamahal". Wow. Dang. Then the dancers came on again and we were screaming our lungs out!! Si Kuya PJ naman, bigay na bigay!! He winked at us a few times and we either waved or winked back at him:) And he gave Jzan Brie a flower!! That was soooooooooo sweet!!:) Then some more singers sang a medley and we all song with them. One of the songs was the song that got stuck in my head. Yung minention ko sa taas, yung LSS ko. Catchy tune kasi eh. They even put on a play for us; it was soooooooooooooooooooo funny! We were all rolling in our seats from laughing so hard!! Then one student or a group from each section will perform an intermission number; okay lang yung mga iba. May isa na trying hard talaga; my ears were practically bleeding by the end of it. Si Jade kumanta sa amin and Mac played the guitar for her. Love them!! Yung mga boys nga namin pumunta sa harap para yakapin si Jade o punasan yung pawis niya. Nanguna pa sa Strachan! Hehehehehe!:) Then Ma'am Peppin and a few other guys gave the closing remarks. I was pretty surprised at how fast time flies there. I looked at my watch and saw that it was already 4:00. But Ma'am Peppin said that we were gonna leave at 2:30! What happened?! Wala eh, enjoy na enjoy kami talaga kasi! Hehehehe!:) Then Kuya JB said:

That was really nice of him to say that. Then we stood up and made our way to the stall where they were selling the stuff that the inmates made themselves. There were cards, ships in bottles, candle, carvings. Ganda na pagkagawa nila. I bought a candle shaped like an angel painted in gold, a card, and a stationary made of recycled paper. As we turned to leave, I noticed that a lot of guys were staring at me. Some of them even came up to me and introduced themselves. Meg was right behind me that time and I heard her ask, "Bakit siya pinapansin niyo?" and one of them answered, "Kasi mas heartthrob pa siya". I pretended not to hear what that guy said as I steadily made my way out, with Meg and Kuya PJ still talking behind me. When we got out, we bid Kuya PJ goodbye and we went back to our bus. Ma'am Peppin greeted us at the gate and said, "Di kayo nagenjoy noh?" in a sacrastic way, she was smiling widely as she said that. When we got to the bus pingakalat ni Meg na "heartthrob ako sa preso". I really didn't know if I felt insulted or flattered by it. Ewan! Hehehehehe!:) We left and we passed the rest of the ride talking about the stuff we did there. And Meg opened up to me about a few things; sa amin na yun:) We got to the school around past 5. I said goodbye to my other classmates and I wen to Zagu to buy Choco Crumble. I was craving for something sweet kasi; buti may outlet sila sa carpark. My savior! Hahahaha!:) Then I went to the dorm na. I was sooooooooooo tired when I got there. I fell asleep quickly that night. Hay:)

AUGUST 25:
We weren't supposed to have classes. Sporstfest kasi ng mga teachers. Pero pinapasok parin kai. Asar!!!!! Pero, on the good side, naswipe ko na I.D. ko sa scanner! First time! Ang saya! Hehehehe! Ang babaw ko talaga:) Nagklase kami sa Philosophy and History; come on, do you really think that ProfessorDoctor Co and Professor Dalangin would play baskteball or volleyball at their age?! Isang tira palang ipapadala na sila sa hospital! Malapit lang naman eh. Hehehehehe!:) Professor Guevarra and (to our immense surprise) Professor Shimamto were part of the Sportsfest. So some Med-Tech interns came to us for our Drug Test. Ang super gwapo ng isa dun! At left-handed din siya, just like me! Yipppeee!:) Wala lang. Heheheheh!:) Then they told us that we had to pee in these little containers for them to analyze. It felt weird coz the stall was open while we were doing it! Once we passed our urine samples, we left. I went to the dorm, packed my stuff, had lunch and I was off to the terminal. I got to Dagupan around past 7. Had dinner with my mom and Patsy in Matutina's. Mmmmmm. Goooooood foooooood!! We ordered sinigang na hipon, barbeque, adobong pusit and calamares. I was so full when we left!! Then mom took us to Tapuac.

Happy Birthday to my sister, Pats!!:) You may be a sneak, but at least you're the good kind. You know what I mean:) Take care always!:)

AUGUST 26:
Well, here I am in Tapuac. Hehehehe!:) Dad left for Baguio already. He's taking the LET (Licensure Examination for Teachers) exam there. Good luck sakanya! He studied late with tita Beth last night. Hope he passes:)

Ooooooooh!! My tita sent me a video from YouTube. You guys have got to see it! It's sooo cool!!

Okay, that's it for today. I'm hungry na. Hehehehehe!:) I'll try to update again tonight:)

LSS OF THE DAY: WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER (HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL)

Woke up at 8:35-ish or something. Pinakalate ko na yun. Hehehehe:) It wasn't raining pa and I thought that it was gonna go on 'til the afternoon.

I went to Romeo's house around 11:05 coz he invited me to the 11th month of his grandma's death anniversary. I got lost pa nga eh! I forgot where we were supposed to turn! Luckily, Ate Precy (his mom's cousin) and Jude (his brother) were walking on the same direction so I got down from the bike and just went with them. When we finally got to the house, I couldn't bring myself to tell Romeo ehat happened and I'm really glad that Ate Precy or Jude didn't say anything. But still, it was really humiliating! Hehehehehe! The first thing Rica and Jaia (his sisters) did when they saw me was give me a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig hug! I missed them! Lambing nila kasi sakin eh. They're so sweet:) Then I saw Brix, Ate Precy's son, and he hugged me too. I was really happy and surprised when he still remembered me:) He's still the cute and makulit 2-year old I met nung summer:) Then Romeo introduced me to his titos, titas and his cousins. He's particularly close to one of his cousins, JR. I don't know if he's older than me or what. Hehehehehe:) When Romeo introduced me to one of his other cousins, she said "Pinagmamalaki ka ng cousin ko eh". I gave Romeo a questioning look but he just smiled and said, "Hindi, hind" in a very sarcastic way. I just laughed. Then we watched "Fearless" on DVD coz JR didn't watch it yet. So we went to the master bedroom, sat on the bed and watched it. I only saw the last part the last time I came here by bus. I thought it was't interesting so I slept through it. But it was nice pala. I love Jet Li. Hehehehehe:) It started to rain na at this time and Romeo got a little concerned if I could still be able to go home. He kept on asking if I could make it home safely and I said that I could manage. Then he played his guitar and we sang a few songs until it was time for me to go. I left around 4:30.

I got pretty wet but not as in soaking wet; thank goodness. When I was near my house the driver of the jeep said that he'll park right in front of the gate so that when I get down I wouldn't get so wet. Sabi niya na baka kung nagkasakit ako baka sisihin ko siya. Hehehehehe:) I was really touched by what he did. It just goes to show that there are still good people in this world:)

I really missed Romeo. I mean, we text each other everyday, and I mean everyday! Nakaunli kasi eh. Hehehehe:) But I missed him, missed him. We're far apart from each other 5 days a week, and I'm not even sure if I get to go home on the weekends most of the time. We find it extremely difficult to maintain our relationship pero nakakayanan parin namin kahit na ganito kami. We fight a few times because he's getting paranoid of what I might be doing in Manila when he's not there to watch me. He's accused me of going out with other guys, lying to him whenever I go somewhere and so on. Hay. I stay in the dorm most of the time and SLEEP. When I go out, it's either sa mall, Websternet or the school. Hanggang dun lang. If I go out of those boundaries baka mawala pa ako at ayaw ko na mangyari yun sakin. Hard talaga, pero nakakayanan namin. Kaya pa. Kaya pa.

Well, that's all. Hehehehehe:) I'm going back to Manila tomorrow. I'll be leaving the house at 7:30 so I could arrive at the terminal at 8. My dad said that maybe a lot of people would be planning to go back to Manila tomorrow so I'd better make it early. Hay. It was fun while it lasted. Back to school ulit sa Tuesday. Oh happy day.

@ 8:00 PM

When was my last update? I forgot na. Hehehehehe:)

Oh yeah. Nung Wednesday, recitation namin sa Literature; I got a 25/20! Ang saya!

Quiz sa Economics; my God. I don't wanna talk about it. Recitation after. I got the right answer, so okay lang.

We found out our prelim grade sa Philosophy. I'm gonna need a lot of studying. 1 point nalang, pasado na ako. Just 1 more point. Sayang! It's so frickin'' hard to pass his subject! Sabihin mo lang na you got a 75 hanga na yung mga tao sa iyo kasi ang hirap talaga pumasa sa subject ni Professor Doctor Co. As in grabe talaga. NOSEBLEED!!!! Anyway malapit lang naman yung Health Service o kaya yung hospital. Free pa! Hehehehe!:)

Uy! Birthday ni Ate Kaye today! Pero she treated us last night pa. We went to Yellow Cab but the place was pretty full; pinahintay pa kami sa labas! So, we were on our way to Pizza Hut naman when Ate Kaye asked me if I've ever been to "The Pit". At first I thought she said "Dapit" as in "Dapitan", the street near our school. But then she empahsized it better and then I said "no". So we called Jane and Miko, who were walking a little faster than us, and we turned around to Dapitan Street. It was just a small place but it was comfy. We ordered our food, (I ordered grilled salsbury steak) and we ate, talked and laughed. Then we ordered dessert. Ate Kaye and I ate oreo cheesecake (mmmm...) and Jane and Miko got the chocolate mud pie. By the time we were through we were having difficulty standing up! Grabe ang bigat talaga ng mga tiyan namin! We went through UST 'coz it was too dark to go through the whole street again. Dami kasi nahohold-up dun kaya nakakatakot talaga. We passed by the building where I was studying and lo and behold! I saw Kuya Kris! Wala lang. Hehehehe! I thought he was gay at first, but then I later found out that he has a girlfriend, ata. Hehehehe! Anyways, we passed the building and went to the dorm. Bagsak kaming lahat sa beds namin! Except Ate Kaye kasi niyaya siya ni Kuya Jon na lumabas sila. Awww. So while she was gone, inayos na namin mga gifts namin para sakanya. We went to the Mall before 3pm that day. We bought her a shirt, a musical card (inayos pa ni Jane kasi nagkatopak!), a bracelet and a cake. Then pinagusapan namin na we wouldn't go to the dorm at the same time. So I went to get my laundry sa Summa Cum Laundry, Miko stayed in the lobby while Jane went up to the room. Ate Kaye's last class was at 3 so we were sure that she was there na. When I got there, Miko said that she went out. So I went to the room and pretended that I was so exhausted from going to the laundromat. Then Jane came in and we started writing on the card and decorating the cake; it was just a small cake, plain chocolate and we bought gummy bears and gummy worms for decoration. O db? Hehehehehe!:) Then Miko came and then a little later, Ate Kaye came narin. We hid everything in Jane's closet since her's was the nearest hiding place we could find. Then we went out na. This morning, we all woke up before she did and we set everything. Jane and Miko were to go outside with the cake and I was to wait in the CR with the gift. Ang bait noh? Hehehehe! Miko and Jane knocked on the door while I stayed in the CR; I heard Ate Kaye get up and answer it and they began singing, "Happy Birthday To You". She couldn't stop laughing! Then she said, "Galing niyo magtago ha!". She blew out the candle and I gave her our gift. Ang saya! Hehehehehe!:)

Hay. Here we go again. Same problem with my darn classmate. Peste talaga yung lalaking yun. Ang super kulit!!!! Sarap suntukin talaga!!! Maingay, mafeeling, walang respeto talaga! May mga pumunta na older years sa amin, again, and while they were talking, sumasabat nanaman siya!!! ANO BA!?!?!? SHUT THE F*** UP!!!!!

Okay. Tama na. Baka mahigh blood pa ako. Breathe.

I'm in Dagupan by the way. I left the dorm around 12:15; got to the terminal around 12:55; left around 1:20; arrived in Dagupan at 7:10. Tagal kasi matraffic. And it was sooooo frickin' cold in the bus!!! My teeth were already chattering!!! Then I went to Nepo coz my mom, Pats and Monsi were there. Had dinner sa KFC. Then mom took us to Tapuac. And here I am! Hehehehehe!:)

TITLE 1: COINCIDENCE?

I left Dagupan around past 9am or exactly 9am. We were on one of the stop-overs when an old guy sat next to me. Well, he wasn't THAT old. Just, old. Maube around 50 or 60+. Anyways, when he sat down, I caught a whiff of this funky smell he had. Sort of like a mix of mud and rust. Disgusting, really. He began reading some papers and stuff so I didn't mind him. Later on, he was texting and then he placed his phone on my seat! How rude was that?! So whenever he reaches out tograb his phone, his hand brushes against my thigh! Eeeeewwww!!!! Then he borrowed the conductor's ballpen. Then he turned to me and asked if I was a student in Manila. I said yes. He asked where I was studying. I said UST. Then he asked how many units I'm taking this semester. I answered, 26. He looked genuinely surprised when he heard this and demanded to know if I was sure. I said that I was positive. Here's the stuff he said:

~~~ He's a professor from UP Los Banos, going by the name of Teodoro Mendoza;
~~~ He's on his way to Manila to do some research and observation;
~~~ He doesn't allow his students to take more than 18 units; 21 for graduating students;
~~~ He says that UP is planning on increasing their tuition from 300 pesos per unit to 1,000 pesos per unit (big change, huh?)
~~~ He said that most parents would rather pay other professors just to let their children pass, than ask for a second chance to take the test/quiz;
~~~ He said that the salary of the professors in UP is pretty low compared to UST and La Salle.

Full professor - UP, 13,000+; UST, 15,000+; La Salle, 27,000+

~~~ He said that a lot of professors from UP want to transfer to the other universities mentioned above to get higher pay (that's why they're planning on increasing their tuition)
~~~ He said that the standards of La Salle, UP and Ateneo are too low;
~~~ He said that education in our country today is low because of the number of units the students are taking; the more they get, the more loaded they are, and the less time they have to finish everything. That's why he doesn't allow his students to take more than 18 units so they won't get overworked and they get to finish in time.
That man was being really honest. And when I mean honest, I mean BRUTALLY honest. I was already cringing from the stuff he was saying. That guy was really intimidating. Scary. He kept on saying things like how i should know the standing of my school in the board exams or something. I do know for a fact that 97% of the passers of the board exams in engineering are all from UST. That's pretty much all I know. The rest weren't so clear to me.
TITLE 2: SHUT THE F*** UP!!!!!!
We all know that there are two types of "mayabang"; the good and the bad.
Now, a certain classmate of mine called G***** A*** (to my classmates of 1BES1, you all know who this guy is; just fill in the blanks) is so darn mayabang that I just wanna slap him!
He is SO LOUD and SO BOISTEROUS that I could feel the blood boiling inside me everytime I hear him. Like when we were checking the test papers of anther course in English, we found out that we all did the wrong thing but then he began saying "YES! TAMA AKO! TAMA AKO!" And all of us were like, so what? So what kung tama ka? Is it enough to make you pass ba ha?! Then when Professor Shimamoto asked if we wanted to see our test papers, he practically shouted "YES!" I remember saying to Janel, "Confident ba siya na pumasa siya? Nagpapatabi pa nga yan nung exam kasi wala daw siya alam! Tapos ganyan siya!". I could see a vein throbbing in Janel's temple everytime that guy speaks up. She practically ignored him when he was calling her to ask about something. And then when Kuya Rommel and Kuya Janno came into our classroom to announce something, sumasabat pa naman siya! Ang bastos!! They were announcing something about the seminar that we were going to have on Thursday and he kept on butting in! Saying things like, "Pupunta ba si Cheska?", or "Kasama ba yung mga nasa 4BES3", or "Hindi ako nagenjoy nung GA kasi wala si Cheska dun".
AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T YOU KNOW WHEN TO KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT?!?!?!?! SINO BA YANG CHESKA NA YAN?!?!? ANO BA PAKI NATIN SAKANYA!?!?!?! AND FOR YOUR INFORMATION, YUNG SEMINAR NATIN PARA SA MGA FRESHMEN LANG!!!!!!! HINDI KASAMA SENIORS!!!!!! AT ANUNG PAKI NAMIN KUNG HINDI KA NAGENJOY NUNG GA JUST BECAUSE WALA YUNG CHESKA NA LAGI MONG BINABANGGIT!!!?!!?!?! LAHAT KAMI NAGENJOY EXCEPT YOU DAHIL WALA SIYA DUN?!?!!?!! AND BABAW MO NAMAN!!!! AT WALA KA TALAGANG RESPETO SA MGA OLDER YEARS NATIN!!! ANG BABAIT NA NGA NILA SA ATIN TAPOS GANYAN KA PA SAKANILA!?!?!?!! ARE YOU BLIND!?!!?!?!? HINDI MO BA NAKITA KUNG GAANO NAOFFEND SINA KUYA JANNO AT KUYA ROMMEL!?!?!?!? ANG BASTOS MO TALAGA!!!! MAGSHIFT KA NA NGA PARA WALA NANG GUMUGULO SA AMIN DUN!!! ANG SAYA NA NGA NG PAGSASAMA NAMIN DUN TAPOS IKAW LANG YUNG DAHILAN KUNG BAKIT MASISIRA ANG LAHAT!!!!?!?!? IKAW YUNG DAHILAN KUNG BAKIT HINDI NARELEASE KAAGAD YUNG BES CARD NATIN!!!!! TAPOS SINAMA MO PA YUNG BEST FRIEND MO SA USAPAN NA YUN?!!?!?! SIYA NAGBAYAD!!! IKAW HINDI!!!! HINDI MO BA NAPAPANSIN NA UMIIWAS NA NGA SIYA SA IYO!?!?!?!? BAD INFLUENCE KA KASI!!!!! ANO BA?!?!?!? BUTI NGA SAKANYA DI NA SIYA PAPATOL SA ISANG GAGO KATULAD MO!!!!!!!! LAHAT KAMI MAY AYAW SA IYO!! TANDAAN MO YAN!!!!!
Hay!! Sorry for that outburst. I just HAD to get it out of my system. Never keep that kind of stuff to yourself, it could kill you. Seriously. I don't care if he reads this. It's all true. Everyone can see it. Di lang kami, pati yung mga nasa older years. Buti pa sila ang haba ng pasensiya nila sa kanya. Pero nakikita ko narin na napipilitan din sila minsan. Ang bastos talaga eh.
On a lighter note, I passed my exam sa History, BES and Theology. Yipppeee!!!:) 3 down, 5 to go! Oh lord, help me...
@ 9:26 PM
Woke up at 6:30, or was it 6:45? Hmmmm. Can't remember na. Hehehehe:)
I went to DS around past 8. A few people greeted me when they saw me and I was kind of glad that they still remembered me:) Dang. I really miss going there. I saw a lot of familiar faces and I'm really glad that I saw them again. We went to the gym coz it was the culminating activity of the feast of St. Dominic. I hung out with Melanie and Kathleen through most of the program then I sat beside Sister Althea towards the end of the program. Here were the people I saw:
RAINIER - Whoa! Tumaba nga siya! Pero not as in, super fat. Oh well. He's still my bro and I love him no matter what:) And I hope he stops calling me *********!!!!!
CLEDAN - Dang! I really missed this guy! Even though he's really skinny, (and I mean REALLY skinny), I couldn't resist the temptation to hug him coz I really missed him a lot!
PEDYSON - Ah! Mr. Picasso of the Future! He cut his hair now; used to be a lot longer before. Hinintay pa kasi na huliin siya ni Ma'am Valle; pasaway talaga!:) He still helps out with the design for the stage whenever there's a program and I heard he still joins art competitions. Good for him!:)
BIBOY - Pumuti nga siya. Yun lang. Hehehehe:)
MELANIE AND KATHLEEN - Same as always:)
MARRION (my service-mate 2 years ago) - Hmmm. Still the same. Naalala pa niya ako ha. Hehehehe:)
ROMEO - (of course) Well, he did say that he got a haircut. I think his hair grows really fast coz that was how short it was the last time I saw him. Hehehehe:)
EDDXER - I really don't see the resemblance between him and Kuya Eddrex. I really don't.
CHRISTIAN JACOBA - Puto parin. Hehehehehe!:)
ARTHUR - Mahiyain parin pag ako kausap niya. I caught him looking at me a few times; he'd just smile or wave. According to him, (he told me this nung summer when he called me), that he will always treasure the times we talked and and spent time together. Even though it was pretty quick. He said that I was the only girl that he ever had real feelings for. Or something like that. Is it possible that he could still have feeling for me? I don't know. It's kind of weird. I mean, his best friend is my boyfriend, for heaven's sake! And he tried his luck in courting me when Romeo and I broke off; I didn't let him continue because I thought that I was being unfair to him. He said that I haven't changed a bit. I dunno....
MARLON, MARRION, DENNIS, ROSS NEMO, JOHN RYAN - Hay naku! Mga pasaway parin! And to think na second year na sila! Nangingiliti parin! Kaasar! But honestly, namiss ko din mga kakulitan nila. Not just the tickling part. Hehehehe:)
JOHN PAUL - During the program I felt my phone vibrate. I thought it was Christian because he kept on pestering me about Romeo or Arthur; I swear that guy is such a tsismoso. Anyways, when I looked at my phone, I saw that someone miss called me. And guess who's name popped out? Why, it's John Paul Bravo! One of my classmates nung high school! I miss called him back and I had a gut feeling that he was somewhere in the gym coz he wouldn't be miss calling me for not just any reason. I was right. I found him sitting on the other side of the bleachers so I went over and talked to him. He's still the same ol' JP I knew. I mean, who changes drastically in the course of 4 months? Hehehehe:) I'm glad I saw him there. Brought back a lot of memories.
CHRISTIAN HERMOGINO - Ang haba na ng buhok niya! Nagcurl na nga sa baba because of the hat he was wearing! And he's still the same. Nahihiya din siya sa akin. My goodness. I really want him to forget what happened nung 3rd year kami. I'm sure it's not easy for him to forget since most of his friends still tease him about it. What I did to him was bad enough and they're still adding insult to injury. I really hope that they'll just drop it and leave him alone.
JASON, FLORENCE, JASMIN, JONVI, VAL, RENEE, CHARISSE - Yup, still the same people I knew a few months ago. Nakakamiss talaga yung mga times na nagsasama kami. Good thing I saw them:)
AIRA - Uuuyyyy! Nagiipit na siya! I honestly did not recognize her. I saw her sitting sa bleachers but I didn't think it was her. Naks naman! Nagpapagirl na ata siya! Hehehehe!:)
DAWN - Makulit parin!! Grabe!! Pasaway talaga!!
Hmmm. I really can't remember the rest kasi ang dami! I'll just edit this post nalang when I remember some of them na. Actually, the rest naman were still the same. Special mention lang yung mga sinabi ko sa taas. Hehehehe:)
Of course, mga teachers ko dati, ngdun din. All I can say is, TUMABA NGA SI SIR CHAN!! May tiyan na siya! Dati flat lang yun. Naun may shape na. Eeewww!! The other teachers were still the same. And I really miss them a lot:)
I left the school mga 12:20. Went out with Romeo. Went to the mall, Eternal Gardens and the park. And that's pretty much it.
Hay. I'm tired. I have an appointment with my cousin tomorrow at 8am. I'm finally going to meet my baby niece! Can't wait! Then I'm off to Manila at 9am. Dad's gonna drop me off at the bus station.
Well, that's it! I'm gonna be working on my academic paper for Literature tomorrow when I get to my dorm so I'm gonna be pretty busy. Oh well.
G'nyt everyone!:) Sweet dreams and God bless!:)
YIIIIPPPPEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
TAPOS NA EXAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SUNUGIN LAHAT NG LIBRO AT HANDOUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! JOKEZ LANG!!! MAY FINALS PA EH!!!
Wait a sec.......
FINALS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
HOLY SMOKES!!!!!!!!
Oh well...sa October pa yun. May time pa naman para magreview....
Okay, so here's how my week went:
MONDAY - BES:
- It was okay. I mean, I just read my notes there. I didn't really memorize anything since Ma'am Bangaoin said that we didn't need to. So no problem. Hope I passed.
TUESDAY - NO CLASSES!!!!
WEDNESDAY - ENGLISH:
- I am so not liking Professor Shimamoto right now. I don't see the point in studying this subject if all were gonna learn is about "text types", "reading skills", "reading techniques" and blah blah blah.
HISTORY:
- It was okay. History has always been one of my favorite subjects. And multiple choice lahat!!! Ang saya!! Favorite Professor ko na si Professor Dalangin!! Hehehehehe!:)
THURSDAY - LITERATURE:
- We did an analysis on the song "Ghost" by the Indigo Girls. That took up most of my time since I kept on reading the lines over and over again. It's pretty nice. I wish they played it while we were answering. That would make me feel a lot more comfortable.
ECONOMICS:
- AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! My head!!! My brain's bleeding!!! It was sooooooooooooo damn HARD!!!!!!! Professor Estacio didn't even discuss the stuff we were supposed to solve! Sure, she gave us these "exercises" and formulas, but we all had a really hard time in actually doing them because she didn't explain it to us!! Absent ng absent kasi eh!!! HATE HER!!!!!!! Hay. To my fellow classmates of 1BES1, see you all in summer!:'(
FRIDAY - SOCIOLOGY:
- The easiest exam we took this whole week!! 1-50 multiple choice! All of us finished the test in 20 minutes! Hay!! Love na namin talaga sa Ma'am Peppin!:)
PHILOSOPHY:
- Uhh. Half-hard, half-easy. The first part was okay. The second part was a bit confusing. No, wait; scratch that, it was REALLY confusing.
Anyways, our exams finished around 9:30. Pretty early. Supposed to be 10 but none of us could take it anymore. I went straight to my dorm, changed my clothes, double-checked my stuff, and I was out of there at excatly 9:55. I hailed an FX going to Cubao and went to the Victory Liner bus terminal. Thank goodness I didn't get lost this time! Hahahahaha!:) We left around 10:55, and I arrived in Dagupan around 3:45. My mom picked me up from the terminal then we went to Nepo. Uhh. What I did there is a secret between me and mom. It's too embarassing to say here. Hehehehe;) Then we went to Bonuan, I got something there and I just found out that Jamby and Shadow, our dogs, have a puppy! And it's a girl! Ang cute niya! She looks like Shadow. Pwede narin! Hehehehehe!;) Then my mom took me to Dominican; I went looking for Sister Althea. I miss her so much talaga! But we weren't able to talk long. She had a really bad toothache kaya tomorrow nalang daw. Oh well. Then we went to Tapuac to fetch my sister coz we were gonna have dinner in Jam Sweet Jam. Mmmmm. Gooood. My mom reckons I look too thin now. Well, I am so not thin!!!!!! I'm chubby pa noh! Sheesh! Wonder what's gotten into her? She kept on egging me to eat more, but unfortunately, my stomach couldn't take it anymore. Even though I didn't have breakfast......and lunch....and mirienda....Holy hell..Something is so wrong with me. Anyways, mom took us back to Tapuac after dinner and it was pretty flooded na. We were supposed to buy food for Monsi but if we did, by the time we get back, the waters would be really high and it'll be difficult to go through it. He threw a tantrum when we didn't bring him anything but he's calmed down now.
By the way, my cousin gave birth na! Nung July 29, the world welcomed little Czarina Eunice Maala Tan! According to my sister, she's so adorable! I'm gonna try and see her while I'm here. I wanna meet my niece!:)
I'm in Tapuac now. Wala lang. Hehehehe! Baha sa labas. Taas na ng tubig. Hope it goes down soon.
CLICK HERE to watch and listen to the song I picked to critique for my academic paper sa Literature.
The singer is Jason Danieley, a Broadway performer. The song was taken from the Broadway hit, "Les Miserables"; my all-time favorite show! The original singer was Colm Wilkinson, but I'll put this one nalang muna. Hehehehehe:) Tell me what you guys think of it:) The lyrics are down below:
BRING HIM HOME
God on high
Hear my prayer
In my need
You have always been there
He is young
He's afraid
Let him rest
Heaven blessed.
Bring him home
Bring him home
Bring him home.
He's like the son I might have known
If God had granted me a son.
The summers die
One by one
How soon they fly
On and on
And I am old
And will be gone.
Bring him peace
Bring him joy
He is young
He is only a boy
You can take
You can give
Let him be
Let him live
If I die, let me die
Let him live
Bring him home
Bring him home
Bring him home.
Jason Danieley messed up a line in the song. See if you can hear it:)
~~AUGUST 11 - 8:00-9:00 - Sociology
9:00-10:00 - Philosophy (Good luck din dito!!!)
AY CARAMBA!!!!!!
So far, I've only read my notes sa BES. Emphasis on the word read. A little bit of scanning sa History and English. But that's about it. Haaaaayyyy.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I watched SUKOB na pala. Forgot when. Basta Sunday yun. It was really scary! Kakagulat talaga! I went with Tar, Catherine, Ate Cathy and Ate Yesh. Mag room mates silang lahat and I just tagged along. Well, Tar invited me. Hehehehehe:) Sigawan kaming lahat! Grabe! I loved it!! I wanna see it again!! I hate Kris Aquino there. I never really liked her. But after watching the movie, it made me hate her even more. Honestly, she has no idea on how to act. If only there was a course called "ACTING 101" then she should be the first to enroll. I swear, she has absolutely no idea how to act!
I have a MAJOR LSS problem. The song "The Way" by Clay Aiken keeps on playing in my head. I guess it's because I saw the video of it sa YouTube. Oooooohhhh! You guys should see the Disney Version of it! It's so cute talaga! Just type "clay aiken, the way, disney version". It's soooooooooooo cute!!! Hey, I'm a Disney baby, I adore Disney movies!!!
I have a feeling that I'm gonna get sick na. I've been crying since last night 'coz I was reading "The Notebook" by Nicholas Sparks and "Nighttime Is My Time" by Mary Higgins Clark. Di talaga kaya ng immune system ko. Iiyak lang ako tapos magkakasakit ako after a few days. Ayaw ko magkasakit!!!! Ganda talaga ng "The Notebook". It's so nice talaga. I'm gonna go look for a new book after my exams.
My sister's been texting me. Giving me updates about the whole "Mom and the Guy" thing. So far, she's been telling me what the guy's been telling mom (my sister's been reading my mom's messages. Sneak, huh? But I like it. As long as she doesn't get caught) and that she and my dad found the guy's underwear in her laundry! Eeeeeeeeewwwwww! Wait lang, I have a feeling I mentioned that na. Hmmmm. Can't remember na. Hehehehehehe!:)
Hmmmm. I also have a feeling that someone's mad at me. I really don't know who. It's juat a feeling that I have. Or am I just being dellusional? Maybe. I hope so.
Happy Birthday to Karen Angeline D. Ruiz!:) Miss you so much!:)
Well, that's all for today. Gotta hit the books. Oh, dear, Lord. I'm gonna need a miracle to get pass my exams. Wish me luck!:)
By the way, I just checked out my blog. Something is so wrong with the video thing. Ayaw naman niya tanggapin dati. Nu kaya problema nito? Hmmmm. Oh well. To those who know how to put videos sa blog, kindly teach me. Yun lang. Hehehehehe! Buh-bye!:)
Wait lang, YouTube muna ako. I just remembered that I had to see something pa. Hay. Eto nanaman ako. Procrastinating. Oh well.
@ 2:44 PM
Okay, a quick re-cap of what happened so far, since my last update.
AUGUST 1: GA OF BES STUDENTS
Sa wakas, GA narin namin. Haaaayyy. It got postponed once because of the typhoon. Kaya un. Hehehehehehe:) The GA was supposed to start at 1pm but our class was supposed to end at 1pm din. So Ma'am Peppin dismissed us mga 12:30; me, Janel and Iris had a hasty lunch sa Dimsum and Dumplings sa carpark then we went in search of the Albertus Magnus Auditorium. Naligaw kami!!! Well, we didn't really get lost, just got confused sa directions. Hehehehehe! When we finally got to the building where the said auditorium was (sa Educ. building), we climbed all the way up to the 4th floor. *whew!* Napagod kami nun! We went inside the auditorium just in time to see the Salinggawi Dance Troupe performing an opening dance number. Go Gari!!!:) We took our seats and watched the slideshows; played games, waited for our numbers to be called during the raffle [(I got called; I got a free San Mig hat..o db???:)] watched the inter-batch dance competition, and of course, the highlight of the show, the search for Mr. and Ms. BES! Si Hazel at Nix yung pinili namin para irepresent yung class namin. Syempre, they looked really good!:) Si Nix nga pinakagwapo sa mga guys eh! Hehehehehehe!:) They both lost, but they still looked great:)
The biggest surprise came was when they announced the winners for the writing contest (as kuya Janno and kuya Enzo later said, "the FIRST EVER writing contest in our course"). They first gave the certificate of participation to the contestants. When all them were given, I began wondering why I didn't get one. So I thought that maybe I did something wrong with the format so they discarded my entry. But I quickly thought back to what I wrote and I realized that I followed everything that kuya Janno told me to do. So I just shrugged my shoulders and began talking to Janel. Waki, who was sitting behind me, kept on whispering, "Ikaw na yan!!" and I just rolled my eyes and laughed.
Then, kuya Enzo said on the microphone, "The winner, of our very first writing contest, comes from the freshmen"
Then my classmates erupted into cheers and were screaming my name. I remember thinking, "Am I the only freshman who joined in the contest?!"
Kuya Enzo continued, "She's a girl. And she goes by the name of Luisa Oviedo!"
Now there was no mistaking it; my classmates were screaming theirselves hoarse. But I just sat there, staring open-mouthed at kuya Enzo. Then he motioned for me to come up the stage. As I walked to the stage, my legs felt heavy as if they were made of lead. I was in total shock! I really couldn't believe it! I went backstage to compose myself, and as I walked onto the stage, they handed me a small trophy (looks like the trophy that the DS Havens won nung December; yung glass, ganun din yung shape, pero mas maliit pa), asked about the essay I wrote, took pictures (I swear I was seeing circles) and I went back to my seat. My hands were shaking so badly! I immediately texted Romeo (I was texting him before I got called), then I texted my dad. Later, they gave out the last prize for the raffle; a free guitar! And guess what? Iris got it! She was sitting beside me, then when they called out the numbers, she suddenly stood up and walked to the stage. Me and Janel were like, "What?!!?!?!". Swerte namin! Congrats Iris!:) Finally, the program ended. Natapos na ata mga past 5. But we had fun:)
My dad couldn't stop texting me and congratulating me. He even texted his brothers and sisters in Antipolo, Fairview, Davao and in the US. They kept on saying, "Mana ba sa daddy? O sa ninang/tita/pinsan/ninong/tito?" Hahahahaha!!!! :)
AUGUST 2: WALA LANG
Ano nga ba ginawa namin kahapon? Hmmmm. Discussion sa Philosophy. Discussion sa History. Recitation sa Literature. Completion of workbook sa English.
Practice sa Pax Romana ng 1-3 and P.E. from 3-5. Di kami masyadong nakapagpractice kasi konti lang nakaatend. Pero masaya parin kahit papaano. NOTE TO SELF: Bring a jacket the next time we have a practice. It's so frickin' cold!!!!!!! We did some warm-up exercises sa P.E. Nagmukha kami mga may ROTC tuloy. Hehehehehehe! :)
Damn. I was so tired when I got back to the dorm. I just wanted to crawl in my bed and sleep the night away. But then I remembered that we had a quiz sa Econimics and exam sa Theology.
Haaaaaaayyyyy................ :(
AUGUST 3: AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Wala kaming BES, so I went to school na mga past 7. No need to wake up if the teacher isn't present. Hehehehehe!:) When I told Romeo about this, he said that I was bad; but I just told him na that's how it really is. Hehehehehe!:)
Exam sa Theology. Okay lang. Essay. Good. 3 questions. Pick 2. Then answer.
Quiz sa Economics. DISASTER!!!! Mali ginawa ko! And judging by my classmates' dumbstruck faces, I knew that I wasn't the only one. Grabe!!! I wanted to cry talaga! A few of my classmates were already teary-eyed while the professor was explaining the mistakes we did. Then she said. "If you think that you cannot handle the Pre-lims, then I suggest you withdraw from the Pre-lims then take your exams sa summer". All of us were like, "See you in summer, dude". There's no way in hell that I'm gonna drop. I'm just gonna have to work harder. Ayaw ko magsummer! Kahit maka75 ako at least I still passed!
Haaaaaayyyyyy. Okay, I'm gonna research na para sa Literature. And I've got a really, really, really, really, long quiz sa History tomorrow. 5 pages long. Whoa.
By the way, I've finally chosen a song for my academic paper sa Literature. I wanted to put it here pero ayaw mag"copy-paste" from YouTube. And when I typed the codes naman, cannot be accepted kasi walang closing tag yung tinype ko. Eh galing naman yun sa YouTube ha. Hmmmm...
So, sa mga marunong maglagay ng videos from YouTube sa blog, please help me out! Much appreciated!:)
*sigh* Welcome to College Life.
